Hay is made out of gras. Mow it, then dry it with a windrower and collect it, then you get actually hay.

Hi Drae , you need to plow the fields to get rid of the hail damage , also if your planter or seeder has fertiliser in it then there is no need to fertilise before planting as you will still only reach 50% fertilisation, so fertilise after the first growth stage . You'll reach a 95% yield by plowing , planting with fertiliser in the planter and then fertilising after the first growth stage , if no fertiliser in the planter then plow ,fertilise, plant and fertilise again, hope that makes sense.

I harvest fertilize mulch fertilize lime then cultivate all in the same month. It gives me 100% fertilization. Mulching, harvesting, cultivating and planting all change the growth stage so you can fertilize after each

@jman01780179 yeah there's many ways it can be done but the simplest has to be plow fertilise plant fertilise , will give you 95% yield and 100% fertilised , I'm guessing either rolling or using lime will take it to 100% yield , I'm happy with the 95% though as it can quickly become a pain constantly going over the same field numerous times a season .

The quickest way is to lime and plow ( if enabled ) every 3 years in the game, then use a direct drill with fertilizer to plant the crop, then fertilize again and finally weeding. Doing it this way minimizes the times you have to go over the field and gives 95% yield (mulching adds +2.5%, rolling adds 2.5%)

A lot of people dont know the difference between hay and straw. You see, straw is the dry stalks left after harvesting cereal crops. Everything thats left after harvesting wheat, barley or oats that is not grain. Not much nutritional value in it, its like eating toilet paper. Hay on the other hand is cut and dried meadow. Lots of valuable herbs and stuff in there. Technically a fresh meadow would be best for cows but it needs to be dried so it can be stored without molding. To make hay in FS25 you need to cut grass, flip it once with a hay tedder. At this point its already hay. For easy collection you need to windrow it and then collect it with a forage wagon or baler.

Hey @Drae, I have an idea you can try with the forklift. IRL I use to drive all kinds of these machines (the standup lifts are the best imho, fast very maneuverable can turn around on a dime and can get through tight aisles) so maybe this will help with your pallet problems if the game has good forklift functioning. I notice when you grab the pallets you always seem to carry them with the pallet pushed fully to the back of the forks. That is of course the proper way to carry pallets from place to place but when unloading them there is a much easier method. You don't need the forks to be fully through the pallet to pull the pallets and unload them, its far easier if you extend the forks about a quarter of the way through the the pallet then tilt the forks back so they grab the weight of the pallet. Once you have done that lift the pallet to the desired location and tilt the fork forward as you are setting the pallet down and backing the machine up. They tend to side off very easily when done correctly. After a while this becomes like muscle memory and loading unloading is a breeze so don't sweat the learning phase with any luck this game may have made this method possible in it's psychics lol. As with the last Farming Simulator, nothing feels better than giving into getting an autoloader mod. Its just so satisfying having your workers instantly packing your truck NEATLY! XD

You only want to give buffalo's/cows straw if you're going to use manure (you still need to place a manure heap), you dont get pénalised in any way if you dont give straw other then not getting manure from back. To give straw you can use a strawblower for bales only or loose straw with almost any trailers you own like you figured out. Hay you get from grassfields, cut the grass and turn it over with a tedder wich becomes hay when you turn it over, keep in mind you can cut grass multiple times a year, dont forget to fert it every time, With a windrower you make rows of the hay/grass to pick it up with a baler or a forage wagon. If you want to get into TMR i suggest to make silage out of grass at the beginning as cropsilage is very expensieve, grass silage you make from cut grass, bale and wrap it to let it ferment. You can fert any field right after the harvest, the fert-layer wont disapear later. USE the in-game map for info about your fields, it will help you understand certain things like 10:25 18:40 is not a weeder but a cultivator, an actual weeder you can use any time without destroying your crops

Hey drea so in order to get hay you can mow grass turning it over with a tedder. Also you can get above 100% yeild by planting oilseed radish and using liquid fertilizer. Also if you get to pigs they'll pretty much eat anything. When you do get food for the cows you can make profit the very next month if you feed them and make sure they have bedding. 100% health means you're making money You can always take a loan out on the fiance screen. The game also has mods and more equipment to help. There's also a training guide in the game

Hey Drae, if you want a vanilla self propelled feed mixer and forage wagon (you need a forage mixer for cows anyways), I recommend the Kuhn SPW INTENSE 2.52CL The self propelled forage mixers can pick up straw, hay, silage, and mineral feed off of the ground. This model is the cheapest and costs $232k.

Btw, if you wanna get into mods, I recommend the Lindner Unitrac. It's a swappable tractor that can also tow semi trailers. It has a 3 point hitch on the front and rear, has a slurry spreader, forage wagon, manure spreader, and a regular platform. It'll cost around $200k with all accessories

What I do for a extra income is I accept a contract and let the hired workers do the job it. Like cultivating and planting. It helps a lot since to lease the equipment isn't that much. Just don't sleep while a contract is being done cause you'll lose money.

You need to use a plow on the parts of the field that look patchy, that’s hail damage/ tornado damage. You will have to plow those spots with an actual plow then it’ll be back to normal. Of it doesn’t disappear when you plow over it enable create fields and it’ll return to normal

You’re gonna need grass fields and grass equipment like another tractor a mower and baler and a rake, to make grass bails Just cut it and rake it and bail it To make hay bales you’ll have to cut the grass then use the tender and then a rake and then you can bail it to make silage be sure to wrap grass bales, if you let them sit for a while. They will turn into silage. Straw is only for bedding, and it gives you manure.

Hi drea hay and strow are two different things.. grass becomes hay when it's tethered you need at least two field one for hay and one for silage. Silage is fermented grass aka bail and wrap it or you need a pit to put it in compress it by driving over it and cover.. TMR is ruffly equal amounts hay and silage to half strow. Strow is used to pack out the mix and as bedding that gives you manure but you need a pit for that near the cows

There is just one weeder that can deal with medium weeds afaik. But usually its easier to just use pesticide for medium or large weeds. Read the descriptions of the items in the shops, they are important. The symbols don't tell you everything. Also, crop destruction is off in early growth phases, but starts later during growth.

OMG. I have water buffalo's for several FS months and ... I got bad news for you about getting rich from it. Wood chips, rice products, lettuce and big mushrooms is the ticket to get rich. Rice saplings are not worth the gas to sell them but you need a lot of them to replant.

You need to plant grass then when grown cut it with a mower then you need a tedder which dries it and turns it into hay then you will need a wind rower to row it up into a row then either bale it or pick it up with a collector trailer. There is alot needed for just getting into grass and hay and may be worth while to invest in silage if they have not nerfed the prices for it.

Cows eat TMR (total mixed rations). Mixed being the keyword. You're supposed to mix it in the green mixer you used to feed them. Watch the bars and mix it correctly and then feed it.

0:27 actually there is a way to make millions in these farming games. My best method is to create a multiplayer server(any settings don’t matter) once in the server create as many farms as you can. Save the game. Go back into single player and it will put all the money into one farm. Aka your farm. Save the main game and repeat if you want more. I’ve been doing this since FS 17. The most I felt like doing was 64 million. But it’s up to the player and the method is simple and doesn’t take long. Sadly you have to create a new save though. It will not work on an existing save. Give it a try❤

i cant remember if you said you were gonna do mods or not, but theres a pick upable pallets mod, which allows you to pick up pallets. you can still use forklifts and things, but it couldve been helpfull for moments like 13:20 although its yo late for that one now, as only new pallets made after the mod is installed are pickupable

Man, cows wont eat straw. Its just bedding for them so they dont walk on concrete all day. Straw is totaly optional, the only thing it changes is you get manure instead of slurry.
