I love how open Viv is talking about drugs. They are a huge part of my life. I used to substance abuse, or self-medicate, and it actually helped me in many ways. Currently, I am halfway through my PhD in Psychology, working on specifically PTSD and non-pharmaceutical coping mechanisms. But, I hold no misconceptions about what got me here, and I feel it is an important area for us to cover scientifically, as a society. There are benefits from taking street drugs. I wish we, as a society, were in a place where we were able to better understand that.
