As mentioned its a 1967 Fairlane 500 and not a GT. When I was 16 I purchased a 2 year old 1967 Fairlane 500 with the standard 390-4 barrel rated at 315 HP and 4 speed. In stock trim they were capable of a 14 second 1/4 mi at around 90+mph. I remember the fun changing the spark plugs near the shock towers. Mine was red on red with a bench seat. Mine was different from other 67's as it had the radio antenna in the passenger side rear quarter panel. Thanks for bringing back some old but not forgotten memories.

A few years ago, I pulled an original 289/c4 combo out of a 66 fairlane 500. Would have taken the car too, but it looked to be a field bomber that somebody had a hard hit with a big tree. I typically only comment in hopes of helping the algorithm to get your channels more views…but this video is “talking to me”. Can relate sooo much to the thrash…flywheel bolts too long and doing everything two (or three times) definitely more relateable than editing out all the “challenges” to sell the illusion that when you have been wrenching for so many years that everything goes together perfectly. I am loving this too much…Derekisms combined with Tonyisms is pure gold. A couple similar yet different approaches to thrashing… the bell housing/clutch didn’t even make the “cardboard hitlist” these are the surprises that add hours to a project and take years off of one’s life but BUILD CHARACTER ✊

That’s awesome Angelo and the boys have Derek in your shop I love these collaborations this is amazing. I’ve followed you since day one and I love Derek from vice grip. It’s great to see all of you guys come together. And for you and the boys to put this together for Derek is amazing. Can’t wait to see the end of this video, Tony Angelou, the best.
