This 1967 Ford Fairlane was bought sight unseen after sitting for 40 years. This is a legendary street/strip car from Pottstown PA. We stuffed a small block ford and 5 speed manual in it. A guys going to take a few laps at the local drag strip, then attempt to drive it 900 miles home back to Tennessee.

My theory on the "wrench" you heard on your video the other day bouncing under the car was the piece of all-thread you cut off of the air cleaner stud! When you cut it, I said to myself, "that's going to fall out and scare the crap out of them"! Keep up the great videos.

Derek, I love that 67' Fairlane. I have a 66' and just dig that body style. I'm glad you got it going and back home. My personal suggestions are leave it pretty much the way it is but iron out some of the details. Put a heater core in it, wipers, a seat that will accommodate someone taller than 5'6", repair the electrical system and drive it!

Not knocking anyone, just find it funny is all.😊 Great stuff guys and y'all have a great natural chemistry together, like Tony has with everyone he's worked with for co-hosts and Derrick's mad cool too! Love to see you guys do other things together in the future! Such a cool story behind the old race car too! Wow, what a GREAT guy Jason and Marty are. Must have made THEIR day to have VGG in Jasons garage. He knew his stuff too which is SUPER cool.

My favorite car. I have a 66 fairlane with a 289 automatic. I have owned for 42 years. Was my daily driver until 2003. It still runs and drives but it needs some love. Love equals money and that I don't have. Great video

Potato sack….i spit my beer on that one!!! Jason was a gold find and great to see folks who know their stuff inside and out. I wish someone had an old shoulder mount video of Ted and that Ford in its hayday with the big block setup….i can just imagine it was the top dog in town.

Help me understand: Take a 70s street Ford- Modify it to drag. Before you drive 900 miles - granade the tranny! What could go wrong??🤦

Unless a feller is road racing, I love drum brakes. Way more surface area with the shoes than you have with pads = 4 wheel lock up on demand lol

I had one of those cars but mine was a convertible. 19 years old and a 289. Thanks for that memory.

Thanks Derek! You brought me back to New England Dragway in Epping, NH circa 1970, and Wednesday night grudge races in my 67' Vette! Those were the days when a gang of us went there to see who had bragging rights for the fastest car.
