Melusine Sparkle's look is representing the brazilian flag, like literally, the blue, green and yellow colors + the stars + the sash (the brazilian flag has "order and progress" in it, and her sash says "love, order and progress"). The whole theme of the photoshoot is the brazilian flag, I think, that's why they wore the same colors and why some of them had stars on their looks. Even though I did not like the show of Heidi Klum, I am going to share my unpopular opinion of why I think Heidi actually has drag knowledge. She was the host of project runway and german version of America's next topmodel. Two shows that were heave referenced in the early seasons of Drag Race. Besides Heidi has made sure to include drag in her german version of ANTM long before drag race became this popular. Drag Queens from Cologne, which I used to go see all the time were in her show in the early seasons. She also has had drag queens from drag race and Germany on her show for several years, in challenges and in the finale. Besides that she has a famous Halloween Ball where she wears the craziest costumes every year and is a big carneval fan. So she knows about costumes, makeup, runways, designing clothes in the setting of challenge in a tv show and foto shootings. Also you can tell that she is a drag stan, too. Was she ideal as a host? Probably not, but to say that she has no idea of what drag is, is not an opinion based in reality. I think that has more to do with the fact, that she is not very well liked in Germany and therefore people don't give her credit for the good things she does. Like having trans contestants in her show and telling their stories, which I haven't seen in german TV. I do agree that I hope drag race Germany is going to be better and I hope that Olivia Jones is not part of it. It's such a shame that Mary from Mary and Gordy is so old. She was the Ru Paul of Germany in the 80ties in my opinion (I am old😆). 🥰😘🤗

Hey Mera and Scarlett! The reason for the color scheme on all the queen's looks is because of the Brazilian Flag, ad that's why some Outfits like Diva More has some "nonsensical" accessories like that pope head just to have the full Brazilian colors and why so many of the queens used yellow hair and blueish/greenish makeup!

Did you know, that Germany's Drag Race technically would have been the very first international franchise roughly 10 years ago, if they wouldnt have had issues finding a network? And with Heidi's version it was similar, which turned out like that just because they had issues with licencing. Would be cool if you could do a little summary on that part of Drag Race Germany's history, because its probably interesting for others to know too! :) Unless you want to do this of course. You need to speak the language; well not just for Sweden. Like France, Moon was from Switzerland but spoke French. When each franchise its airing in their own country, competiting with other programmes that are not even about drag, I think is pretty impossible to ask them to "space them" in relation to other franchises. It is obviously too many countries to follow each of their own spin off so you will probably have to select the ones you are more interested in. Each franchise has their own public in the country. Thats my view. I am spanish so I am watching Drag Race España, U.S. U.K and sometimes Canada. And it is already a lot because I want to watch other things 😂

I think in some ways it's good because like those from their respective countries have said, "These/(our) franchises are meant for those countries to see more representation and stories for their people to see, so it may not be necessarily made with just the American view of consuming 10+ seasons all at once and more for each respective nation to have their own respective representation", in similar ways to Camp Wannakiki or Dragula for their respective drag styles that Drag Race doesn't show as often; I think in others it can certainly lead to some type of inflation of the series - parts of it losing its special magic because of how frequent of how the boom was, and it may start to border into super levels of capitalism and making so many series in a span of time (based on reading people's comments) You start to wonder if there's ever going to be a way to highlight everyone or give everyone ample spotlight (like Dragcon trying to fit every international queen with how many franchises there are as opposed to when it was mainly US) I think I mostly saw comments about how much the magic of looking forward to some seasons has more or less dissipated, or at least has become overwhelming to keep up with everything, and the general sentiment that in this political climate, it's really great to have all these shows pop up and help share more LGBTQ+ stories around the world, but for some of the longstanding fans, it gets a bit much when the most of that representation is just iterations of drag race, so I hope more different types of shows can come out (like Drag Me to Brunch)

I love that we are getting more DR Franchises, representation is important. Having DR Mexico and watching queens I know from other platforms, that I have seen perform live is a major difference. The way you bond with the girls is much stronger. It's important to remember that world of Wonder isn't creating all of these series with the expectation that you are watching all of them. The reason they overlap is that there are reviewers and multiple different countries only watching their own season. I'm also EXTREMELY happy to not see Holland. Fred Van Leer (?) Totally fucked that franchise into the ground with the sheer idiocy of giving the crown to someone he had a pre-existing friendship with... as if the whole world wasn't watching (and no specific slam against Vanessa - she just shouldnt have been cast in the first place given the conflict of interest). WoW always wants an English speaking franchise going on. That's why we had US, all stars, down under and then Canada and UK, just one after the other in order to never lose the English speaking audience. The other series are just going according to the country needs/requests, and let's not forget that for the first 6 months, we had Belgium, Sweden, and Spain.
