The first episode of DRPH S2 IT OUT and we reacted to the second Premiere episode!! This was a split premiere! 6 queens entered the work room and were told 1 of them would be eliminated... They started the episode strong with a mini challenge photoshoot! This was INSANE!!! The queens had to put a snake on them and take photos!! We were gagged!!!! I would have left.. Then the queens were told they would be writing their own lines to perform a girl group number! The girl group was not as strong as the first week. The Philippines girls know how to put on a show! Then for the runway it was fringe... There were some good and some ok looks... Then another gag worthy moment happened! The queens had to pick who they thought should go home!! The bottom 2 queens were Hana Beshie and Astrid Mercury ! The Astrid Mercury vs Hana Beshie lip sync was ok.. The 2nd queen to be eliminated from Drag Race Philippines season 2 was Astrid Mercury . OV was super pressed in Untucked about Hana Beshie because Verushka was giving hella elitist vibes saying that whole "its basic cos its not hand-pulled noodles" "she's obviously never been to hong kong" thing. its a pretty common thing here in the Philippines where someone who is a somewhat successful first generation immigrant comes home and thinks lowly of anything that even resembles a downgrade of whatever simple luxury they have in whichever country they live in. there's so much tea on twitter even fellow drag queens from HK are dragging her saying that for someone who claims that they're professional actually gets into physical and verbal fights with other queens/customers, respectively. She also intended to hurt OV in an altercation in an afterparty after DRPH was filmed but hurt Hana Beshie instead. So much noise on twitter, she ended up blocking Tiny but maybe there's more. I gotta agree with them though. I saw interviews, Vinas' vlog, and after seeing that Untucked... It's giving oikophobia, and I'm saying that as a Filipina who grew up outside of the Philippines... I would not have been happy hearing that bullshit explanation as well!! 😩😩

Pull out means the designed garment is originally made and worn by and for someone else. Queens pull these garments out of the designer for rent/to borrow and usually doesn’t fit them, i.e. Veruschka. Her skirt had a hole in the back because it was too small for her since it was made for a skinnier girl (which was the Miss Philippines contestant that Mama Pao mentioned during judging).

context for the "hana beshie with vaccination card": mama pao used to do a daytime show in the philippines where they used to give away HANABISHI appliances (hana beshie is a pun of hanabishi) and when they used to give it away, they used to say "hanabishi appliances with *a random object*". as an example "hanabishi appliances with a high school diploma" it's such an obscure filipino reference, i LOVE it haha

The jokes of mama pao direct to hana beshie (hana beshie's name came from an appliances brand "hanabishi" ) is reffering (and it also is kind of an inside joke) to one of noontime show mama pao was in, and one of the segments from that show is giving appliances, money and necessities to those people in need. So, They just mention the appliances and add the most random thing they could add to the sentence. Like, Hanabishi with Birth Certificate, Hanabishi with Diploma, Hanabishi with Birthday cake even though that appliance does not even have or give those things😭 I hope I explained well, feel free to correct me

I don't believe she was sacrificed. Veruschka won the first challenge which gave her more edge in the competition. The judges also said they can't judge what happened during the practice cause they have not seen it despite all the girls voting Veruschka out. Astrid just doesn't have the confidence which is A NECESSITY to be a drag queen. She doesn't believe in herself so how can she have other people believe in herself. She can't be pabebe in this competion which is why she was bottom despite having an almost tie-okay lip sync battle.

Just wanted to explain more of the context of “bar chow” as it seems to be really intriguing you! “Bar chow” or what we call “pulutan” is not one kind of food, its more of a class of food that we typically eat while drinking or are good to pair with drinks (esp beer), so that can be anything from fries, to chips, to barbecue :) I think the most common (and best) bar chow/pulutan though is a Filipino dish called “sisig” thats fried chopped pig ears mixed with sauces and other condiments! I’ve been to a cockfight when I was young. My grandpa used to take me every Sunday.
