2024 is shaping up to be the year of the surprising winner. Venus winning over Aurora. Tia winning over Marina. Nymphia winning over Sapphira. Angeria winning over Roxxxy. Le Filip winning over Ruby and Lulu. Leexa winning over Eva, Horacio and Jenary. Only Drag Sethlas and Alvilda felt like the clear winners prior to the finale. (I’m not saying these queens didn’t deserve to win, but the track records and editing didn’t set them up as the ones to beat)

I think this is what also set you apart from other youtube channels is your drag. You and scarlett are such a rock but every other girl you have on is unique and amazing! I love it!

I would also say it's worth looking at the other options. A season where there's nobody in the top with only 1 win (3, 4, 5, 6, 7 for example) doesn't count, and a season where EVERYONE only has 1 win (UKvtW1) also doesn't count because there were no other options.

Honestly, I pegged Willow as the winner ever since her talent show I thought to myself "Ru is gonna crown her" (even though she didn't win the challenge)

I feel that the period of time between filming a season and the finale airing can turn the tide in favour of a queen with fewer wins. The producers and Ru can gain a feeling from the public about who they like for the win and also who they are not liking. This was most evident for the twinners. The comments on social media during this season really liked both Monet and Trinity. Its seemed very split among the public like never before. I'd say it was the one season where none of my friends could predict the winner and Ru likely felt the same. Choosing one over the other would not have felt correct.

100%. Like, if you look at Electra Bionic and Le Filip, the two winners with 0 wins, they 100% won because of fan reception because if it were solely up to production there’s no doubt in my mind that Farida Kant and Leona Winter would’ve been the winners of their respective seasons.

At this point, I very much feel like it’s between her and Kween (who’s the only rugirl to be doing remotely well in the challenges imo), but if it was up to me, I would have a Tessa Pythia Vanity and Nelly top 4 at this point because Ru’s xenophobia race has been a trainreck of an experience

Leexa did incredible during the season, and while she didn't have the best storyline, people saw that she could have won more challenges and had the best consistency at challenges and runways all together. She had the audience on her side and was more versatile for the brand in my opinion. Her win was surprising but because people wanted her to win but didn't expect to.

you say, people want an underdog to win, but when queens like electra bionic and le filip just this year win, it is a major upset. i think yes it's a competition and when you have all these wins you are most likely to win, but often the person who is good at acting, singing, dancing, painting, etc. is not a person who can carry the title of 'winner' if that makes sense. some people are just winners, they have that presence and quality about them.

The winning girls rarely get involved in the fights and drama. Evie was kind of the first in the more modern eras to get involved. I do think violet was generally rude, but cleared up by the end. As well as Aquaria was fighting in the start but again cleared up by the end. Evie kind of amped up near the end and was more on the wrong side. Vangie was the more down to earth girl. I think people only got it mixed up in the season because she was against silky and people hated silky for no real reason. THIS is the ONLY reason people think Eevie is not so bad. Now knowing/liking silky more, watch it again.

Re DRMx, Leexa was strong the last couple of weeks, including the talent show; while someone like Janary appeared to be fizzling down. Of course, there was Horatio and Eva. I don’t know if it’s just me but Eva looked so different in and out of drag that it was hard for me to follow the story line somehow. And I really like Horatio. But there were a few bottoms there. In the end, I was surprised for Leexa winning, yet I wasn’t at the same time. But nothing really surprised me more than Le Filip winning DRF3!

I feel like they pick and choose when lip syncing matters for the finale. If it hasn't been close in the season, why even do a lip sync for the crown. Do what other franchises do and have them put on a show that doesn't reflect the judging. Like american idol back in the day had everyone back on to sing and the finalists would sing however that wasn't the reason they won or lost. It just was padding for the show.

The Kylie bias is sometimes too much. Sure I’ll give her the snatch game win, but her horror story win was questionable at best (esp with Michelle guiding her). There were a lot of other choices better than her on the pink table top. And we know that the producers showed that finale moment to push her winning narrative, but they could definitely choose not to show it.

How quickly we forget. Scarlett was right. Evie was usually in fights each week. This was not the behavior of a winner. I thought her looks were not fleshed out or interesting. It was brooklynes or Akireas but they flopped ONLY in the finals. Still think Eevie was LUCKY to win even though the feral fan base put down anyone else that wasn't Eevie. I have heard many rewatch and wonder why Eevie was so well supported for generally being kind of unlikeable on the show and the looks not being on the same level as others. I think it is a bit more coming around to high drag excellence looks as at that time people didn't want anything pageant adjacent. For willow, she was lucky cornbreads ankle gave out. Also there was NO WAY angeria was going to win and you could tell mid season in. She should of been eliminated before the final(and I love angeria and think after the first 4 episodes she was my hopeful to win as well as I think she MORE than deserved the win for all stars and I am super proud with her!!!). Lady camden was robbed that season! She was consistently middle or high the whole season and she did great in the finally. Will did barely win the end episode but that shouldn't factor in as much as it did. Monae beat jinx worse in the final but jinx still won...
