This looks very encouraging for Ola, they've come a really long way from being a taxi app! Tomorrow when yamaha makes an electric scooter for India it would be very very similar to the ola S1 pro. Generally EV's have good acceleration and power loss is very minimal. But a petrol or diesel based vehicle is good for long-term. FYI you can't drive OLA for 300kms. But, you can drive AEROX for 300 kms without stopping it,I know it cuz I own an AEROX and driven 300 kms in 1 stretch (Chennai to Trichy and came back as well, driven to Pondicherry from Chennai as well more than once). OLA is good for intercity travel but AEROX is good for both and it has cool options with a huge undeseat storage capacity and In highways it's a breeze to ride. I reached 110Km/hr top speed with me and my wife behind without any vibration.

Have used my ola for intercity travel too. Have to say it performs admirably. Went from Pune to Mumbai. Top speed of 95kmph but mostly cruise at 75kmph on highways. That cruise control is great to have. Just a quick break at mapro in Lonavala with 15 mins at Hypercharger is enough for me to reach Mumbai which is around 160kms from Pune. Running cost 30 rs for 160kms whereas aerox would have costed around 500 to 600 rs.

@@bigapple5842 I agree. But I normally take my Aerox for 300+ kms ride. Which is smooth and it the engine never gets hot. And i easily top 100kms/hr speed. The max i reached with 2 person is 110km/hr. I don't know how you drove Ola for 160kms. Did it got hot? Or you took breaks in between to let it cool a bit?

@@amazingpradeep1235 yes aerox is made for this purpose. But for me ola didn't get hot or gave me any warning about temperature. As mentioned just stopped at Lonavala hypercharger for 15 mins which added 40kms of range. No other breaks. The max battery temperature I saw was 43 degrees on a hot day with temps around 38 degrees. Have done this journey 3 times now 😀. I guess cruising at 70 to 80kmph doesn't increases temperature much. Maybe above 100kmph it might get hot. Once the hypercharger network expands maybe I will also go for 300+ kms ride

Love it or hate it, Ola is best scooter for India based on its specs and pricing. Pressing issue with front suspension is already taken care. Software is getting better by passing each day. Ola next iteration will sure beat every other scooter.

We bought Ola S1 for my dad who is 65 years and he was using 150cc bike before. He's blown away by the scooter and we had 0 issues with it. S1 is plenty fast in traffic and 200cc bikes struggled to catch me. I know 3 other ola owners and they had 0 issues. I am not sure why so much of negativity is on OLA. They are doing a great job and we need to support indian companies.

a bit of a half information was given, ola only wins in the mid speed section after the mark of 95km/h the aerox 155s vva actually increases the speed and counters the ola by a lot + ola can't stay on hyper mode for very long. full info will be as such :- pick up won by aerox (0-60), mid section won by ola(60-90/95) and at last when vva kicks in top speed aerox wins by a lot (around the speed of 95-127(max speed reached by me) )

Nobody cares on marginal speed difference. Scooters are for comfortable ride and practicality. ICE engines are no match to Ather and OLA in terms of usability. No amount of hype can save petrol scooter market converting into EV. Already Honda and Jupiter are in the verge on converting to Electric. Bikes and cars are a different story altogether. Aerox should have come with 300cc+ with much better purpose of touring and then it's game on.

Whenever people talk about ev's all they talk about is battery, charging time, motor and whether it is cheaper than petrol. They just don't know how quick these ev's are. Ev's are shear luxury vehicles. I have an iqube and whenever I throttle from a signal it's a pleasant to see how petrol vehicles lag behind me. It just floats.I have a fz 25 also but iqube lot smoother and quicker than fz.
