Drag Subaru Baja Intro Video. First drag set up.

The original plan for this car was to be the "shop truck" well it didn't take long to out grow this tiny 4X4 bed for hauling parts to and from our shop. What better use for it to turn it into a drag car!? The first set up as seen in this video was to build a 10 second car that we could take to the USA and participate in Drag Week. We had successfully signed up for Drag week 2020 but as you all know, Covid happened. The car has been on the back burner for a while, but we finally got her out to our local track at Mission Raceway for some testing. Running an 11.3 @ 134MPH on old street tires and was never able to make a clean pass. We later found out that we snapped the right rear coilover spring which was causing the car to pull right. A new suspension, tire, and now due to Cobb's green speed update we will be switching to a LINK ECU as well as fixing our tire and suspension situation.

Dude, this is sick. Nice to see another built Baja. Running an XR FP Black, BNM header/up-pipe, 1650cc/450lph, tgv deletes/top feeds/-6 lines, custom FMIC, Mishimoto cooling setup, ported b25 heads, STI internals, JDM LGT 6spd/r180/aluminum trailing arms/brembos, stg 2 clutch on mine. Around 500 wheel.

I,m In my 60's, and Use to race back in the 80's I own a 9 sec 67 Chevelle, But I also own a 2006 Subaru Baja, And love what you have Built, wish I had extra cash, Have you done any 1/4 runs yet and what were you times

That sounds awesome Brian! I did run the 1/4 mile a handful of times in this this. Best I got was a low 10 second pass around 135mph. I wasn't able to get the stock trans to shift very well at 8500 rpm and 40psi of boost. I did that run while granny shifting but kept falling out of the little 2.35L engines powerband.
