Really pleased to see my favourite mag is going to be on youtube! Was expecting an introduction video of what's going to be happening in the future, but instead a day trip to look at a rusty diesel Merc, maybe they were going to buy it for a mad engine conversion.....nope. Strange vid & not sure how this is relevant to PPC? Good luck with this Lads, I hope you can get some good content like the mag used to have & hopefully DW's workshop will be part of it!

Interesting! This is my dad’s car - he just sent me the link. It will start by the way, just needs a few sprays of Ezy Start. Been a few years since I saw it! I have lots of fond memories of sitting in the back when it was his daily driver. I would have been about 10 probably. The W123s have deteriorated a bit in that time 😁

Great to have PPC back! It might not win any oscars but then PPC mag cars don't win concourse competitions! Better than my feeble attempts!
@marcns0077 ай бұрын
I would do a recap of the PCC years with some footage of £999 challenge and the events and let us know what you plan to do in the future. Barn finds, visiting car collections and driving mad cars and some spanners.

Great first attempt guys. At times the audio could have been better but that’s my only bit of (constructive) criticism. I’m sure things will only get better

Hey good first try lads, great to have you back. I'd love to see a video of all the mags writers and staffs cars, Wills LPG sec, how many cars has Kev got now, how light is Mankee's Locost these days? There's no way Ed Hall still owns that Chrysler? All the best, keep on keeping on 🤘

Glad to see ppc rising from the ashes. Always fun to see a properly entombed car, hopefully someone will be happy to spend an epic weekend extracting it, and a year of their spare time welding it up and sticking an OM606 in it. (LHD probably a bonus for that) Great to see you back, hoping to see more cars with ground breaking, out the box ideas chopped up and modified out of scrap bits in a shed. That would be ideal for me. Anyone cracked onto RWD tfsi conversions yet? Surely they are the currently available breakers yard 350+ hp capable engine? One of them in anything from a triumph dolomite to an e46 would be excellent.

I am over the moon that you guys are back. Miss the mag and now at 40 I finally have a worthwhile feature motor. S63, cheaper than a new family hatch back and rapid as fuck Mmmmmmm I'm sure this channel will be one of the best. Dirty hands ahead 😊

I imagine, as with the magazine, a lot of work has gone into this. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this channel, well done and thanks for giving it a go. Oh and I may eventually have some content for you too!

Would need a sharper intro to hook new viewers rather than just PPC stalwarts but the personality was there. Good stuff!
@automotivetales7 ай бұрын
Good work lads- breath some life back into it! Plenty of old PPC ephemera around still here, and plenty of stories to tell about that golden era! We were hooked on the mag at uni! Also… how does that merc end up so far buried… oh wait… I know. Hoarding like me! Do you want a project 944 that’s a little less abandoned and only has an abandoned Volvo to move out of the way? 😂

When I saw the state of the cars outside I thought ‘hope it’s not one of them!’, then you went inside and my hopes went up. That car was pretty rough though. I think you made the right decision to leave it where it was. You’d have had to pay me to bugger about extricating it from there. 😜

Please take this constructively! Sound was poor, quiet speech with loud music in between - had me turning volume up and down. Quite a lot of preamble to a video where nothing happened. Was left not quite sure what you were trying to do. I know it’s difficult being filmed - I think a bit more personality which I know Will has in spades would be a good thing. I look forward to future videos - maybe staff car updates and actually buying something 👍🏻
@ppcmagazine7 ай бұрын
Appreciate the honest feedback, Matthew. This is exactly what we want (and need) so we can improve our stuff and make this a success. We had a bit of back and forth on the preamble and whether it was too long or it was setting the scene/introducing us. Hopefully Ben will actually buy something soon 😆 Looking forward to the next one and we hope you are too!
@bernardmclake38986 ай бұрын
I'd like to hear about the things you're going to check when looking at a certain car, especially the ones that one finds out about the hard way by having owned multiple examples of that car. Obviously in this case there wasn't a lot of room to crawl under etc. but perhaps an idea for future episodes.
