I wonder at the weight. "Like" is never enough but it's all that's offered so needs must. Blue brings me comfort (the color). Of course, there are blues and there are blues.

Oh, what a weight of melancholy is "dragged around" here; even a listener who didn't understand English would recognise it! And that last line of the last verse breaks a heart that does understand English.... "it's only sadness and not love now that inspires" 😥 Some superb B&W imagery and it was a nice little touch to use Joni's image when "Blue" gets its first mention. BTW, who is the lady in stockings and suspenders who gets full colour treatment? I recognise most of the more famous faces, but she is a mystery to me.
