I genuinely loved romancing Cassandra. It felt so natural & it showed so much character depth for her. She wasnt just the stoic badass woman with an amazing accent I instantly liked. She liked poetry & romance & wanted to be loved & treated like a woman. It was really cool discovering that. She's my favorite romance in the DA series so far personally.

I disagree. Jose is WAY to straite laced to elope, with noble families there is a lot that has to happen before the proposal even happens so with a Human noble Inky that would mean both families would have to met and strike a deal first; AND Jose was already engaged at one point so that would have to be worked out first as well. You're well aware that Jose would demand you go thru everything the right way. As for Cass, it felt right that there was no Eloping for her, I'm more upset there was no way to propose to her maybe in a manner echoing the first date just to be an ultra cheese ball.

Cassandra because she care little for her nobility and I Imagine eloping is in a lot of cheesy romance book she seems to like, Josephine because after the Duel really there is just some formal steps but ultimately would be all to willing to tie the knot (I mean a year or so passed they could have gotten married off screen). Sara she cares about having fun and thinks labels/titles are stupid. I figured she be loyal to the inquisitor but wouldn't see the point in officially marring her.

There are some exceptions like Alienage elves. Brialla/Celine, Branka/Hespith, two grey wardens in The Calling are all examples of same sex relationships, though not marriage now that you mention it. Alistair, Sebastian, Cassandra (I think in the epilogue?), and Cullen (epilogue again?) can be married, though they're all heterosexual. I assume the question is whether it's permitted. You can marry Sera. Not sure how much that counts considering... well... Sera and her views on laws and propriety. But there you go.

If you're in a same-sex relationship (Dorian romance, Sera romance, f!Quisitor/Josie, m!Quisitor/Bull), Cassandra will think you're going to propose to them, and the fact that it's same-sex doesn't seem to be a factor. She outright encourages you to do it if you say you were thinking about it.

But fucking fate rewarded me with completly new completly unstudied illness with 24/7 touturing symptoms which will eventually kill me, so my beloved half-husband with the help of his beloved mother kicked me out in that state with the words "we need a wife who can give a child now, and we are tired to take care of you", which was surprising considering his character and considering he was my friend indeed (he was an old friend of mine as well). Still waters run deep it seems. No families, no friend- husband, no children for me - pointless dreams now anyway.
