i've become fond of the grapple spec from poison tree: it's really useful for both archers and daggers, with archers you get close to your foe to make the leap shot fully efficient and with daggers it helps you navigating the battlefield without walking all the way under fire

dual dagger artificer is,in MY opinion,better for the inquisitor. since the Artificer's focus ability isexclusive for archery and the inquisitor already has it's own focus ability,you lose nothing. Also,Varic should be using Bianca XD

Having played around with masterworks I just want to say fade touched Nevarrite casts pull of the Abyss on hit, this combined with an artificers traps WRECKS ALL TRASH MOBS. The artificer I find has trouble with bosses but with all the sundering and criticals going off this build looks really versatile

Dude, your build videos are top notch. I bet this suggestion would be a hassle, but have you considered deconstructing your builds to level-by-level? Like, 'for level one, choose this perk. For level two, this one, etc.'. Having this detail, especially when playing on Nightmare, would be most helpful.

Hey, Kinetic, here's a suggestion for a fun rogue. I apologize in advance for not remembering the skills' names. A "yo-yo" archer. Either a Tempest or an Artificer, you'd use the chain ability from the Sabotage tree to instantly close into enemies, drop all of your close to mid-range attacks (bombs, poison clouds...), then use the jumpback shot to get to safety and watch the fireworks.Once the skills are off cooldown, you yo-yo yourself back into the fray, drop the bombs and clouds, then jumpback shot again. Rinse and repeat. Sound fun?

Thank you for putting this video out there Kinetic; the artificer is truly a fun class. I know that your focus is on fun builds not optimum efficiency, but they are still really fun. My Inquisitor is an artificer and I like to bring along Varric. Again, the strength of this build is in getting critical hits. I have an 83% (could be higher, given the armor I can craft) crit hit chance, while Varric's about 78%. Crit damage is also above 80%. With opportunity knocks and stamina regen, I've had battles where I've used throwing knives 8 or 9 consecutive times. Stamina and cooldowns are never an issue. Finally, I prefer the +50 stamina amulet from the Sandy Howler. With throw everything, it's lethal.

Not bad, not bad at all. I took Toxic Cloud over Throwing Knives, I think I'll change to Throwing Knives now lol Though I still think DD Tempest is the best rogue build for both main and AI controlled. For main you can get %100 flask upkeep, %100 devastation. For AI controlled be sure to add Parry, as hard as it is to get the timing right, the AI gets it right every time, free damage mitigation is awesome. Additionally for the AI controlled, set Lightning Flask as preferred and watch the crits roll out in fast-forward(I managed to get Sera's crit chance up to %69), it's pretty funny to watch her kill most things in mere seconds. Another reason to go DD over bows is 1 more masterwork ability. Hidden Blades, Guard on Hit, Chain Lightning all the way.

This is the same build I use. It's awesome, the only thing the bow version has better in my opinion is the focus. The only difference I have that I can see is party members. I use solas and the lightning cage with the upgrade because with his pull/lightning cage combined with elemental mines and spinning blade.... Well things usually die.... Quickly.

I think the thing I don't like about Specializations in this game is that your companions don't have their own unique Specializations anymore. Look at Varric, in DA2 he had his own Spec that made using Bianca unique and just powerful. Now in DAI it's actually much better to swap out his signature weapon for a couple of daggers.

As each DLC came out, I monitored the situation to see if there were any major changes that would disrupt the builds or motivate me to update them, but nothing really major happened. Even when they came out with new toggle mods for the skills, not many of them gave me the impression that my existing builds were out of date. In other words, all my builds are just as viable if not optimal as the day they were created.

I've been asked this a few times, but I prefer not to guide players too much with my ideas, and let them think more freely about who they want to bring. At the end of the day, 90% of the time, you can just bring who you like, regardless of class and it makes little difference. So that's my advice, bring who you like. :)

Unfortunately not. Once you've made that choice, it's your specialization for the rest of the game. Do you still have a game save before you did the quest? That's your only way to reverse that.

B Mh It has the best aoe damage of all three rogue specs and because of lots of little hits with decent crit your stamina is never low and your cooldowns are the shortest in the game due to the passives, yeah this spec is hella fun.

Dual blades are much better for artificer than dual daggers. They hit more times per seconds, leading to more crits and more cooldown reduction from opportunity knocks.

unfortunately, unlike DA:O, you can't have two sets of weapons equipped that you can switch on the fly, and Inquisition doesn't let you change equipment in battle. So there is no point to investing in both trees, unless there are passives you want.

Parry for Rogues doesn't act the same as B+S for Warrior. It's closer to trying to parry in a Souls game. In other words, it's a pain in the ass. On top of that, Rogues shouldn't even have aggro to begin with to even need such a skill.

If you eant warrior dps go reaver. Champion is purely for tanking and templar is for party support, reaver is pure dps.
