Considering what she said that she was betrayed like the world was betrayer, I think she seeks vengeance on the Maker or whoever made the darkspawns, archdemons and painted the city black. She's either the mother of the old gods (motherly godess) and she seeks vengeance for her children turned into evil beasts or is mad at the Maker because he abandoned the world. Once I speculated that Flemeth might be Andraste, but that seems rather impossible.

Dark ritual or not, Flemeth is one of my favorite characters. Morrigan says she wasn't that good of a mother...but Flemeth never tried to really harm her otherwise. It's trippy, what is she really planning?!

I think a lot of Morrigan's view comes from the book that says Flemeth consumers her daughters to live forever. I think it's pretty clear from the "Mythal comes to women in need" story that what she means is "Mythal passes her god power along to her daughters" which is likely a more attractive prospect, I'm actually a bit sad that Morrigan doesn't even consider this once she knows

@@storageheater Its not only that. Morrigan was emotionally and mentally abused. Shaped into a successor, shaped into what she is - Flemeth was always a monsterous mother that used emotions against her and always used bait and switch and other strategies to slowly but surely made her into the woman she was in DA O, only thanks to the Warden she got about and blossomed. Flemeth IS a monster without redeeming qualities that has only one purpose - granting Mythal revenge on the world just like Mythal granted vengeance to Flemeth long ago. (I think Justice is not that different from Mythal actually. Whatever she was is long gone and only demon of hatred and vengeance remains AND needs to be dealt with. I actually think Solas is a better man than Mythal - man who ripped world apart and created the Fade, destroyed his people)

Markis2bi4 As far as we know in lore (the myth part of it at least), it was Fen'Harel. Though with her supposed friendliness towards him, we dunno. It may be, for all we know, that Fen'Harel set a rebellion and did trick the other pantheon and Forgotten Ones, but he himself may have been betrayed along with Mythral, leading to the resulting crap situation for Thedas that he may not have intended.

I know this video is almost 8 years old but I just recently finished this game again. Morrigan drank from the well, but the last line Flemeth told Her. "The soul is not forced upon the unwilling. You were never in danger from me." That completely threw me off. Ever since playing Origins I was always thinking I was trying to protect Morrigan even though it turns out she never needed it. These characters are amazing and I love them.

Am I the only one who dislikes how meta the stuff with Flemeth is? I mean, sure, everybody who's *playing* is like "OMGWTFBBQ FLEMETH IS MYTHAL!!?!?" But sans Morrigan's presence, the Inquisitor wouldn't know anything about Flemeth. They didn't have any history, even briefly, and this isn't a big plot drop that explains everything that came before... It's just you calling for the avatar of Mythal, getting exactly what you asked for, and then having somebody *else* freak out about it while you (in-character, at least) stand there somewhat lost and trying to piece things together. This would've been a meaningful reveal for the Warden, and it is for the players. But it feels so wrong learning it from the perspective of the Inquisitor.

I had been think about the next game consequences theory : First, accept morrigan ritual at DAO, flemeth get the essence of the old god and she gave it to Solas. And in next Dragon Age game, Solas will be more harder to fight with essence of the old gods. Second, refuse ritual, flemeth only gave her essence and Solas absorbed it,And Solas won't have a upper hand of advantage.. Thirdly, same as the first (but Solas forced fully absorb her essences), before that flemeth send the essence of the old god to Mythal instead. Then at the next Dragon age game Mythal will reveal herself again and fight with the new protagonist against Solas. If you noticed at the temple of Mythal, the whole Mythal is hiding in the eluvian during escape from corypheus instead with flemeth body.

@@MissDragonClaws . Lol, no. I mean, Alistair is one option, but you don't need to romance him, it can even be Loghain or the Warden's child, also, specifically for this game, you don't need to play Origins, you just need to customize your decisions in the keep.

No if the Inquisitor drinks from the Well, you need to fight this dragon and dominate it to fight Corypheus' dragon for you, if Morrigan drinks she will fight instead and you skip this dragon fight. If Kieran is alive and you drank from the Well, Morrigan will just lead you to this altar and summon the dragon after you talk to Flemeth in the Fade.

@Pg TrAxX If you romanced Morrigan Kieran is born even if you didn't accept the DR. The difference is that he doesn't have the Old Soul and you get this scene which is the same if Kieran doesn't exists. But I don't believe that Flemeth doesn't know about him if the ritual wasn't performed.
