this build seems INSANELY overpowered, so much so that playing the game would be boring since there is little to no fear of failure, ill try it out on my second playthrough when i wanna be a total power house, but i think im gonna go with rift mage for the fun utility, great video! you helped me make up my mind.

You can get the staff from the first dragon in the hinterlands. The warden battle mage armor is in the fallow mire you can loot it from the guy in the apostate quest. Enjoying the game so much more with knight enchanter... A few tips tho, getting "clean burn" from the fire tree reduces the cool down for all spells by 1 sec every time you use spirit blade or any other spell. Spamming frost step is the best. Also getting mana surge would be great as well. Great vid man, subbed.

Mage Enchanter is OP let's be honest. You can solo high dragons. Never mind adding 3 other companions and not to mention one of them can also be a Mage Enchanter. So yeah that's how you get nightmare mode beat haha.

Great vid - I'm curious though, your Spirit Blade tooltip shows damage as 400% Weapon Damage; Mine however only shows 300%, in line with most other resources I've seen. Is there something I'm missing here?

You get that armor from fallow mire. You have to go through a little hole in the right side of the area to a little place where there is a fade rift. a bit forward from there is a mage who drops it

Hi.. im new and havent understand many aspect yet.. quick question tho.. what is that ability on the 8th slot that's yellow and shaped like a sun? You didnt mention it in your video.. could it be Counterstrike from the champion focus tree? But you're a knight enchanter... *confused*

Sans86id I didn't mention it because it's not unlocked right away - it's the basic focus ability Mark of the Rift.

First you got the Mystic Knight from Dragon's Dogma. Now we got the Knight Enchanter. Knights and magic are quite the broken combo, it seems.

It's okay to me, because it's almost like an easter egg for people who want to put some time into figuring out the "best" class to make. Since it's a single player game, as long as all classes are capable of finishing the storyline, I don't think it's bad for one class to have a completely OP specialization. If you have multiplayer then imbalances can be a lot more frustrating though, but that's not the case with an RPG like this.

Matt June It is on normal, and to be fair most of the things I'm fighting are lower level than I am so its kind of a breeze. I'm going to upload some more videos where I'm fighting things my level, I just don't want to spoil areas or things for people.

how did you have it so your mouse cursor wasnt on the screen? seems like i can only turn the camera whilst holding down the mouse button or using A+D might just have to use a controller :(

i would love to see you try to solo the highland ravager or another lvl 18+ dragon with this load out except i recommend re-speccing to drop stasis lock and get the ability down next to mind blast that increases your barrier time. Also I recommend dropping defending blade, i'm not sure it's a great ability when you take 0 damage because of your barrier. finally i say get the flash point upgrade on the fire tree for additional casting with no cool down time.

Ash Knight Probably elves - 25% ranged defense helps a lot. You can fade step aware from melee heroes but ranged attacks follow you when you try to move out of the way.

how do you have such good defense? what skills are you using to give you that good of defense because it seems like you are getting hit a lot and your health is staying at the top. and are you only attacking with the spirit sword? can you still use regular mage spells once you are specialized with the knight enchanter?

mickdafan You can definitely still use your regular mage skills but the spirit blade is very strong. KE have an ability that gives 30% to barrier for damage done, so I pretty much have a permanent barrier

keith kells Haha sorry dude! I just finished the game with my Knight Enchanter and am now playing a dual wielding rogue! You can always return to the rogue and do the opposite quest lines etc. I changed up my entire DA:Keep settings.

Pubdles LP Well i'am content with being OP on NM since NM is being lubriciously unfair most of the time lol. Downside of KE, is it doesn't raise the damage bar to 2k & beyond,you're just consistently smacking stuff. I exploited that Rogue archer & Reaver does the Most Damage/Crit period ingame

Tatsumi Anime Superhero Fan If you're just mindlessly mashing Spirit Blade, you're doing it wrong. Spirit Blade and Clean Burn have amazing synergy and will allow you to spam powerful spells like Fire Mine and Fade Cloak constantly.

TheShishaDoctor Once you get about three or four main storyline missions you shoul dget your quest to unlock specializations - I had it around level 9 or 10.

Chairman7w Because ultimately I don't need my party because KE is already strong enough and its a waste of my focus / skill slot. All my party was around for at that point was banter, and using all my potions.

The nerfed KE made my new playthrough pretty pointless, first time did rogue but once I got viv pretty much used her. Year later decided to play again and go with a mage so I could have fun as a KE but they've nerfed it so bad it took all the fun out of it.

Instead of going ice it works much better under fire. Under Inferno get Clean Burn Under Spirit get everthing up to the passives Rejuvinating Barrier and Strength of Spirits (don't need to level anything to tier 2) Under Knight-Enchanter get everything up to the Knight-Protector (ensure you level everything to tier 2 if available for that skill) Under Winter get Fade Step (don't need tier 2 for this skill) Clean burn will reduce your cooldown by 1 second everytime you swing your Spirit Blade. You want to spam Fade Cloak as much as possible doing 1000% weapon damage. You will have massive mana regen to keep it all up. If you are soloing dragon Fade Step is a must as a gap closer on nightmare and you'll feel like a badass doing it.

Knight Enchanter is not the same as Arcane Warrior =( the armor restriction thingy man.......I want my mage to wear heavy armor and use sword and shield like in Origin which is more knight like.....

John Clan Yeah that is a bit of a bummer, it's the closest you'll get to it in this game. Arcane warrior was crazy overpowered though.
