Sera is too dense to contribute anything beyond stupid shenanigans during banter. Varric works because he knows Sera is a moron and plays off of her very well. Solas, by comparison, wants to engage with her on a higher level, but obviously can’t so every exchange devolves into her making silly noises and swearing while he groans.
