@@ThePomeranianPrince to be honest siding with the templars has a lot more interesting story stuff. And raising dorians approval is super easy. Once you do the war table mission take him to the hinterlands and kill those two venatori with him and he'll become friendlier to you than solas

@@chriskoloski32 siding with the Templars isn’t more interesting IMO, Calpernia is better than Samson, but just about everything else is better with the Mages Why would the Inquisitor ignore a Tevinter Magister messing with Time Magic while belonging to a cult that wants to rule the world IN FERELDEN? That’s not even mentioning how you kill off Fiona in a cheap boss fight when she’s really important as a character, how much better Denam is for a climatic boss fight in the Battle of Haven, and it’s super obvious Cole was always meant to be the one taking care of Roderick Plus, there’s a massive difference between fighting some corrupted Templars while trying to save the pure ones, compared to going to the future and seeing what will happen if you lose, Mages all the way

The fact I hated Fiona, think Calpernia is more interesting and get so much approval from everyone that you can practically start everyone's personal quest the second you get to Skyhold- is just icing on the cake really. :)

Samson martyr rage, soon the world, will pay. The story of his mage friend is mostly in DA2 which might be why you missed it, but to sum it up the mage had a wife on the outside and Samson would smuggle letters between the two lovers, Meredith found out and had the mage made tranquil and Samson evicted from the Templars, he lost his career and his best friend at the same time Barris is enough reason to side with the Templars though, you’re not wrong about that and the dude should’ve been a party member
