Just a thought for anyone, explosive shot doesn't do much damage on it's own but if you use the upgrade while poisoned weapons in a situation where there's a cluster of enemies it seems very helpful. I fully agree that the cool down is too high but if you consider the chain reaction it might be worth the stamina. Now I understand that poison isn't always effective (especially so in late game) it just seems like an early game trick that you might want to use before let's say you specialize then probably respec and switch around. Another disclaimer I don't believe this combo that I am mentioning is a skill you spam, I use it as basically a follow up to the initial shot when all the enemies charge you or your tank it seems like they line up for it. I would probably use explosive shot a ton more if Solas was my mage because of the rift spec and it's cluster abilities, so when he rounds up everyone you can poison all of them or get a solid knock of the first few health points on everyone which is nice.

For me I generally try to get my crit chance up to at least 50% and then focus what I can into CHD. For Dex or Cun generally you can use this stat to make up for whatever deficiencies you in Crit or CHD. These are of course just guidelines, not hard and fast rules. You kind of have to play around with it and see what works best for you. Craft a couple different sets of gear and see what feels right.

I disagree with you on explosive shot, because it is great when you pair it with poison weapons from the sabotage, which is only 1 point in. When you use poison on an enemy and explosive shot after the poison spreads in an AoE which deals a lot of damage...

2KDonar Yep, everyone likes to play a little bit differently, hence the 1 minute long caveat that I inserted at the beginning of the video about that. As an aside now that JoH is out and there are more levels it is something that I think fits well with my playstyle. Especially if you have a mage with Static Cage or have one or more people with the Abyss masterwork that sucks everyone to one spot. Thanks for watching!

MrCodeslinger I just found this unique greatsword in the forbidden oasis called Verdict. 181 dps,140 aoe damage and +20 aoe damage vs corrupted. I was just searching the outskirts and came across this wooded floor and smashed it open falling into this pit with a chest. Had the sword and some coin. I left the coin to farm more swords if possible (haven't tried yet) this is my second play through. First was an archer and now I'm a mage but this area is unlocked very early and this would be a great weapon for two handed warriors early in the game. I did search it on KZbin and only one guy has a video for it so maybe you can post one for your subs. Behind the very first camp there is a rift you have to close and a location to mark called, The Marker... It's a statute. There is a path or road you can follow into the dessert the will eventually take you to the world map for going to far. It will mark a double arrow on the map and if walk up the hill to the right of that marker you will find the wooden floor. Thanks for all the good content and I hope this helps some of your subs

Farming does work. Just tried it. Dps dropped one and doesn't have the same grip but still cool to give to my other warrior characters.

I've farmed it five times now and the dps dropped by one and the grip and pommel changed. They are unique grips and pommels which is cool but the fourth time farming it I got a +30 maximum health bonus added on lost +5 constitution and +3 willpower. The fifth time farming it the stats went back to the original with same grip and pommel.

Kinda old but..explosive shot is amazing. Not just for cc but the damage if you have a lot of crit damage. I hit like 8k with it, and that's pretty good when it hits everything.

+PHIFan-MIA I try to balance out, crit chance and crit damage. You'll have to do the math yourself, as I don't have my cheat sheet. My suggestion would be create a helm with +x cunning and see how much your crit chance goes up, then divide by the amount of cunning you added. That will tell you how much crit chance 1 cunning is worth. Then do the same for dex and crit dmg. Even if you stop at something like 50% crit chance that means that from a strictly statistical perspective, assuming an infinite number of shots taken, that 1 out of every 2 shots will be a critical hit. Not sure how much into math you are, but just know that doesn't mean you can't take 5 shots in a row and have only 1 be a crit. Over the course of taking x number of shots it should average out to 1 out of every 2 where x would be a VERY high number. So the question comes down to whether it is better to have an extra 5% better chance to land a crit or more damage when you do crit. There's a sweet spot you'll find that will work for you based on how you play. Just make sure you turn on your on screen damage numbers and then play around with it a bit. Make sure you create a save game before you start doing any crafting to play around, that way you don't wind up wasting any valuable materials doing so. I wish there was a hard and fast rule, but as I said, it is based on how you play and what "feels" right to the individual player.

+MrCodeslinger i prefer to get the crit as high as possible because of Look like it hurts and Opportunity knots. When you spam attacks, bonus damage isn't that important (Cole is there for that lol, Dragon shredder team)

While arguably it isn't as strong as Assassin, honestly Bow Artificer is very fun to play with. That focus ability is extremely useful when you want to take dragon, and I think even an Assassin could not take dragons solo as fast as an Artificer does. By the way what accessories that you would recommend? I hope those accessories are listed in your Xls document as well XD

All of the Accessories that we know of are in the Unique Items spreadsheet over on Google Docs (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpunZKmtdraJf7M). You don't have to worry about that. ;) On Accessories... I like to play my accessories in a situational manner. First, on these builds you have to decide whether you are going heavy crit (Crit+Cunning) heavy crit dmg (Crit Dmg + Dex) or a mix of the two. That will determine which neck you wind up rocking. The Superb Cunning or the Superb Dex. On the belt side of things I keep the Super Focus belt around to help building focus when I'm low, otherwise I use the Super Magic Resist as it covers all the elements I could run into. For rings it really depends. I bounce back and forth between Superb Armor Pen, Superb Guard Pen, Enhanced Longshot/Leaping Shot and Superb Crit Damage. My "running around" set up is Enhanced Longshot + Crit Damage. I really feel like switching Leaping shot into the mix on a dragon when you are trying to do a lot of damage quickly with a full T3 focus burst is helpful, since you'll basically be using your standard attack + 40 second rotation of Longshot / Leaping Shot and the 30% bonus damage is applied to your doppelgangers / "mirror images" as well. Hope this helps.

Artificer is the best sustained DPS class if spec'd right. You can just spam your abilities all day. Spamming leaping shot and seeing boss get melted is the best

+PHIFan-MIA Yeah that one has been really popular and for me, being super critical of my own work, is one video I WISH I could go back in time and redo. I was deathly ill when I started doing these videos, and had a horrible mic and the overall quality is nothing like it is today with the new videos. But, alas, people get what they need from it so that's all that really counts, just feel like that one was total amateur hour compared to the new content I do. Take an Artificer and Cole to a Dragon fight on nightmare mode. Poor Dragon Barely gets the chance to roar... I then went onto my Xbox leaderboard and it says most damage dealt in one blow... 119k hahaha. Artificer isn't all about traps as it is all about no cooldowns. The artificer imo is the best rogue class in the game. No doubt. My rotation is usually.. Stealth...wait for full stam.. mines on enemies. leaping shot.. hook to gap close.. then shadow strike if its a boss or a frozen enemy then leaping shot away again... Rinse and repeat. All done in about 6-8 seconds of combat. Put chance of hidden blades on your bow for a little more over kill.
