So screw your Couslands, screw Anora, screw Alistair. Screw Loghain too if he's still alive and can't protect his beloved Ferelden. Screw your Inquisitor too for that matter who already helped protect Ferelden. Ferelden falls no matter what. Orzammar helps Ferelden whether it's Bhelen or Harromont, so that choice didn't matter either. Orlais gets decimated even if Celene, Gaspard, and Brialla are working together. The Free Marches get wiped out even if Hawke and his or her sibling are there to help. Aveline takes over as provisional Viscountess even if Hawke served in the role before Varric did. And because of what? A few darkspawn? Darkspawn so weak that even the Veilguard can take them down without much effort? And what happened to the Hero finding a cure for the taint? What happened to Avernus and his research? What happened to Vigil's Keep and the Silver Order? This "game" literally destroys all that came before it. Epler lied. Dragon Age died.

@berilsevvalbekret772 there are 4 endings in the game plus a hidden post credit scene and they are all bad. It's honestly worse than the original Mass Effect 3 ending.

It's been about 20 years since the events of Origins, so the Hero of Ferelden is likely now around the age where they'd hear the Calling.

How does she have an arm? Doesnt the inuquisitor lose their arm at the end of the inquistion DLC? Also we just found out that every southern nation in thedas got screwed over, why is the music still so hopeful? When harding says "oh my ma..!" that shouldve been a moment to create dire cirumstances and feelings within a pivotal companion character, instead we get "oh dont worry dude, your mom is fine, ur good" Like cmon man, this game shouldve been, arguably, the DARKEST dragon age, with gods invading and people dying left and right, instead we get this.

So the Inquisitor has to cut off their left hand that was used the whole game to close fade rifts because it was killing them. Happened in a DLC and the Inquisitor was shown with a hook for a hand with different attachments for the occasion. Looks like a robot hand in medieval times.

I feel like the Inquisitor played too much of a role in the Dragon Age universe to be forgotten about or used like past main character. Her influence on the world is just much as Morgan has had.
@luisfer071Ай бұрын
well it is quite a little, at least the inquisitor appears, although lets admit it, DAI did the same, the hero of ferelden is just a letter, hawke appear briefly, and we get know somethings about companions but very little, and also the reason is obvious, it is simply imposible to make variations for eveyting that had happened in over 3 games that have diferent mc, companions, locations, etc, in a way that is one of the factor that separated the mass effect franchise (single common hero,) from dragon age; with ME format you can carry on decisions, but they arent really that much, if you compare to all the circunstances dragon age is several time bigger and make it extremely difficult to develop; i mean it took a decade, but it could take easily twice that time
@cell9493Ай бұрын
they could make it better, they could make something like: "darkspawns are invading orlais, but celene, brialla and gaspard cooperated to counter it, ferelden resisted with alistair and/or anora, hawke was protecting free marches with their companions" like cmon it could be just a line, it would be so difficult for bioware just add a possible different line to make us feel that our choices mattered at least a little??
@alannacrystalАй бұрын
It's "simply impossible to make variations for everything that has happened in over 3 games"? Inquisition would like a word. That game made variations for 2 games and was made in less time than Veilguard. It didn't account for everything and no one expected that but it accounted for a lot more than this game does. Heck, even Dragon Age 2 did and that was developed in even LESS time - under two years! Veilguard could have had way more. The fact Bioware didn't tell us about how only choices from Inquisition and its Trespasser DLC would count (just three at that) until about a month from release speaks volumes. They knew they should have put in more prior choices across all three games and they knew it wouldn't go down well. So your argument about it not being possible to account for variations over the last three entries? Moot, I'm afraid. Inquisition's existence disproves your claim.
@jakobrenner2230Ай бұрын
As others pointed out already, I don't think this is the case. We already knew they wouldn't take EVERYTHING into account (let's face it, the Old God Baby plot was completely dropped in Inquisition for understandable reasons), but to have only three choices that only acknowledge Inquisition's existence is super lame and borderline irrational considering the type of game that this should have been. We cannot attribute this to just laziness though: given the amount of times this game changed direction, it's reasonable to assume a bigger branching path existed but was scrapped once they tried to make this game a life service and couldn't reintroduce it once they scrapped that too.
