That's because, being mute as a character, you can impersonate yourself more then with Hawke, or the Inquisitor.. but the Inquisitor is definitely the most powerful.

@Game Twan I meant actual power. They have the same feats of strength, but while the warden's power is just to sense darkspawn and is immune to corruption, the inquisitor, before losing the anchor, can somewhat control it. Every ability related to the control of the veil is a power that the warden does not have. The shield, the blast.. the fucking tear in the vail that is basically the most powerful ability in the game. I also think that the grey warden are nothing compared to the inquisition. Try to remember that they are mostly scouts, and lone warriors that move around recruiting just to maintain the order. They are not a political group, and they don't have an actual army.. or at least, not in most places. The inquisition is an army with a massive presence in the territory, and has allies like the kindoms of ferelden, the orlais, qunari, tevinter, and so on. The strength of the grey wardens are based on how close to a blight they are. If the blight has just ended, it's unlikely you'll find many. There were almost none in ferelden when the fifth started, for example.

@@ReallyUnexplainable Well, the Warden was the first choice to lead the Inquisition, but nobody could find him/her.

@@budakbaongsiah So what? you think just because he was the first choice, he would have been better at it? I call bs. First of all he wouldn't have the mark. Secondly, Corypheus drives wardens crazy. Finally, you need the anchor to stop the rifts.

Warden: he/she is a great self insert due to him/her being a silent protagonist so the players can project themselves onto the game. Which is why you can play as a human, elf or dwarf. Hawke: even though he/she is human which is kind of disappointing, Hawke is an interesting character. I mean he/she go through a lot of character growth and slowly become the hero Kirkwall needs. Plus it’s fun to have Hawke have some personality like either be a kind Mary sue, a funny idiot or an asshole. Inquisitor: he/she is probably a combination of both the Warden and Hawke. Although the Inquisitor’s back story isn’t that fleshed out, he/she might have some personality, especially when interacting with a lot of characters in this game. Plus it’s great that you can have the Inquisitor be a human, elf, dwarf or Qunari.

@@Triunity4 The he/she nonsense is a part of the self insert concept of Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor because there are a fair amount of female Dragon Age fans. That’s why I refer to Tav from Baldur’s Gate 3 as a he/she, same goes for Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening, Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates, Byleth from Fire Emblem Three Houses, Shez from Fire Emblem Three Hopes, Alear from Fire Emblem Engage, the 5th year Student from Hogwarts Legacy, Fenyx from Immortal Rising, DeSadett from Greedfall, the Hero of Bowerstone from Fable 2, the Arisen from Dragon’s Dogma, the Fateless One from Kingdoms of Amalur, the Avatar from Divinity Original Sin 2 and the Avatar from White Knight Chronicles. Case in point, these games are basically just escapist fantasy the avatar characters of said games are meant as a self insert so people can project themselves onto the avatar while exploring the fantasy of any RPG.
