I really hope they release the cc early! I have my Rook mostly figured out, but I am most stressed about recreating my Inquisitor. I feel like that is what I will spend hours on. I have to nail her likeness just right!! 😂

Uhhhmmm... Sorry to be the party pooper but there is literally no way that you will be able to recreate your inquisitor to look even 20% of what they looked like in DAI. Have you even seen the CC and how the characters actually look like? At least DAI's CC, for all its shortcomings, enabled us to make half decent looking people. With veilguard we will have to settle for Gremlin-like people, if we actually try hard enough to create something usable. I have no confidence, sorry

​@@sailorniburu411 you know what would make sense? If you could upload a code of your inquisitor to Dragon Age Keep and just slap that into the new game. I don't understand why they had to throw that feature away. It was a good idea and easier to track your decisions. I thoroughly believe they were just lazy and didn't want to account for all of the decisions you made from previous games

It’s a good thing that Veilguard is going golden. This game has been in development hell for almost a decade. Also, I do hope I get my hand on the physical cd copy of the Dragon Age Veilguard soundtrack to add to my collection of video game soundtracks for the stereo I have in the guest house of my summer home in Rhode Island.

I really want the character creator early too, especially because I want to try to recreate my Inquisitor as perfectly as possible, but I feel like I'd rather they focus on polishing what exists now rather than funneling resources to a CC demo that was never planned to begin with.

While I do hope all those romance picks will get something close to equal, devs saying "choices need to lead to more than a line or codex to be included" will come back to haunt them. I don't see how anyone but Solas and maybe Dorian can get anything out of this, with how diverse their relationships could have ended. Like, they can't even mention that my Lavellan has a wife, because marriage to Sera (and Cullen) was a choice. Not to mention those poor people who's romance didn't end happy that are bow relegated to none :/ Absolutely agree on the cc. I do hope it's released early, I want to play on release, not gonna happen when I get to make 2 characters lol

The Inquisition Choices boil down to Did your Inquisitor Sleep with Solas, were they friends with Solas, and what’s the state of The Inquisition. Shows where the devs priorities were

Those are the choices during the character creation the never said that those are the only choices that carry over from the previous games. They did say there will be tales from the past were you mark your previous choices through tarrot cards. So there may be more later in the game as a way to not overload the player during character creation. Such as before we go to Weisshapt we get we could get hit with 3 or 4 tarrot cards marking choices that effect the fallowing events in wesshapt.

@@mauli00098 Yes and they did mention there will be a lot of cameos and call back also they could have been avoiding spoilers by not stating that you will be able to cover more decisions later in the game. Also it isn't laziness, it's a fair amount of time money and effort something that ultimately doesn't matter to the overall story.

The fact that Harding (my favorite ginger dwarf!😍🥰) is FINALLY romancable, makes it the canon romance for me. I dont mind the action combat either. Just hope theres some nice post game content or NG+ etc. I just pre ordered the "rooks coffer edition" with the physical copy on ps5 from gamestop Canada. This game is my main focus and game of the rest of 2024. October 31st cant come soon enough!!! 😭🙏

I played DA1 and Inquisition multiple times and made different choices. I don't even remember all the choices I made nor did I bother updating the Keep much. I don't care at all about choices--bring on the game

Good to hear the game is officially good to go. Congrats to the DA team! They're ready, I"m ready. All good. I would enjoy an early character creator as well, but I doubt we'll see one. They haven't done it before. Keeping the expectations real. Just a few more weeks and we're there. As for the choices, I think you hit the nail on the head. Your choices may be few, but I think they will have their own story as to major characters like Keiran. Doesn't mean previous characters won't be seen or mentioned, but their story is set in stone regardless of your past choices. Otherwise, the story just doesn't follow past stories that we remember. Give the game a chance before making a decision.

It was always a long shot for all our 10+ year old choices to make a difference for this game. I don’t even know how you would migrate choices made on a ps3 to a ps5 or how you would explain to new players they have to play 3 games before this one if they want to be fully informed. New players always had default world states. And they still need to play the other 3 games to fully graps what DAV is about. We would "migrate" the choices the same way we did with the Keep of even an "in-game" keep, easy. They did it twice already, there is no reason why they couldn't do it again, it never allienated new players or had any negative impact. It is a decision like all other they took with this game, they are severing ties with their legacy. From the developers (all the originals gone, MD came back just for damage control in the end of development), to the name change, to the genre change, to excluding our previous choices, to... well people who are not willing to see, won't see. But ironically the less relevant, the name, end up being the most relevant, Dreadwolf is too Dragon Age-y, mean too much for real fans, let's change it to Veilguard to make sure this game is REALLY for tourists, not for fans of old.

Before I figured out how to use hotspot data on my PS4, I had to have the default world state. Also I think it's best to play Inquisition on PS4. Had it on the PS3, graphics weren't doing great. Also Trespasser was only released for the PS4, so I had to watch it on KZbin until I finally played the DLC in 2022.

I hope Character creator releases early as well. Very sad about the limited amount of choices the game will acknowledge from past Dragon Age games. I feel like Veilguard has chosen bad priorities when it comes to the 3 choices they are giving us. The Well should be more important than if we romanced Solas, imo.

I also hope we get the CC early, I want to recreate all my OCs with it! As for the choices decition. I simply still don't get it. But tbh the respobses from Epler, Kirby and Weekes hurt a bit more as it seemed like cheap excuses and very bad arguments. Alas we have to see, still exited to play the game.

You have to remember that Kieran may not exist in all saves, so it's difficult putting him in, unless you make his existence canon. Also Loghain and Stroud are also potential options for who ends up in the Fade. Do we really want them to return?

This game will be so good, the characters , story, and the new combat system (love it) , still pause , plan and execute! The only 2 choices Id like them to have had , who drank from the well and who is rebuilding the wardens , Yes the other stuff , especially Kieran will be explained in the next game , and who was left in the fade ! The rest are head canon things not world changing …. So I’m good! Great videos btw 🤘🏼

It's fine if you will enjoy a game, but truthfully, if it won't be well received, it will be the last DA game we'll ever see, so the actual fans will get affected too. I hope that won't be the case, but I'm also keeping my expectations at the bare minimum just in case. We've all seen parts of the game (and the gameplay) so I understand why people's opinion is so split on the game. Let's see what will happen though!

The ad was marketed to convince people it was selling well. They used gold disc's to try and equate going gold to the music industry to try and lie about sales. The entire marketing process so far has been them trying to hide the skeletons in the closet, such as bad gameplay, story, and character creation. So dishonest you only see this level of dishonesty when the product isn't as good as they're making it out to be

Are you serious? You say "well the developers had limited time and resources" and therefore we have to understand the limited choices that carry over....I beg to disagree. They had more than 10years and probably more resources that any Dragon Age game before. So that is no excuse for their laziness to exclude everything we did in the past 3 games. The truth is they stopped caring about what gamers want. It's sad but it's true. And even talking about a possible Dragon Age 5.... WHAT? Sorry to break it to you honey, but Bioware is toast after this game fails to make profit.... And I'm a big Bioware fan, the old Bioware.

Quick question is it so hard to believe that many of us are actually excited for the game? We like the graphics and the way the combat looks. And we don't play DA for our references to the past game choices we play them for the choices we get to make in the game. Are we being overly positive? maybe a little. But is the other side being overly negative? Most definitely. But just like anything that becomes divisive the more one side pushes their opinions the more zealous the other side becomes in a repeating cycle until both sides are so far from the middle they cant even see each others view points anymore.

Now I completely understand being hesitant or skeptical. And I don't recommend anyone preorder and to wait for post release reviews. @@averagelok1959 The combat looks good and everyone who has played it says its good. I'm not saying its DMC but it looks on the level of the new God of War. Also they don't show any really interesting story bits because you know spoilers plus the stuff they have shown about the story is on par with the rest of the DA series.
