These conversations are actually fun, especially when the heroes interact with the villains! They'd normally tear into each other at the first opportunity, but the power suppression waves have forced them to work together towards a common goal. I actually liked the way Goku and Vegeta talked to each other, since their friendship is genuine despite the obvious tensions. The heroes also learn a little more about the villains' motives and vice versa, perhaps learning to understand each other on some level.

To be fair, it's also shown in several of the scenes that the Kid Buu clones are showing patterns of behaviour unlike all the others. Personal theory is that the cloning process drained the collected/copied cells of energy temporarily, and what's left of Kid Buu is trying to reassert himself through all the clone bodies.
