The son of a bitch refuses to do the most basic thing successful writers do: character development. The lazy fucker has been playing it safe for God knows how long, it's a miracle if he even knows how to tell a good story anymore. Basically, the entire series has Escalation problems up the ass, and he keeps repeating mistakes. It's like he doesn't learn.
