Using goku side against ultra frieza is great, for some time he doesn’t get effected with the blast cost increase so you can just erase him

This unit legit has no way to be dealt with once they get going with the greens and the constant unique gauge filling. They can combo you for the entire match and you legit have to just watch. Which is most likely why they made so many counters to them

The green should’ve sealed unique gauge effects for 5 counts on the first activation. That would give them something to deal with counter gauges and just added some complexity of spending the proc early to build up fast or saving it to counteract baby or spirit bomb Goku’s gauge.

Them constantly releasing counter guages screwed them over. Especially with all the MELEE BASED blue cards that they draw. Why? My favorite character from fest got fucked with their lack of sub count reduction or even endurance. All legends fest characters have some way to deal with a rush or combo even the one percent characters. Fuck this game.

I think they can still cook well as long as they get plenty of blast cards. My most recommended team for them would be with Ultra golden frieza (in the leader slot) and ultra gohan. A son family team with golden frieza in the leader slot. I think they're still top 10 but definitely not top 5. I think they are better than Super baby 2 (a yellow unit who has no place in the meta since he's not UUI) who is in the top 10th spot and they're definitely better than LF super vegeta and the pre 2023 festival units (with the exception of LF revival gogeta who still holds up well by being a good revival unit and having a long range blue card). So i wouldn't really say that Evoken "fell off".

Saying lf baby has no place in the current meta is crazy lol. He is easily top 10 and arguably top 6-5 as well. Baby is one of the only 2 good counters to Frieza in the meta and he pairs up well with the current best unit in the game, s17. Also, LF cell and LF Jiren are in a better spot than Evoken rn.

@deltaspecies1697 I do think he's top 10, but he's definitely not that high up. He's at the very bottom of top 10. Frieza isn't soo much of an issue to actually need a counter to him so running a counter is unnecessary since frieza isn't ultra ssj2 gohan levels of OP. S17 is not top 1 at all. He has no defensive value, nor does he have the OP mechanics of units such as ultra ssj2 gohan and UUI. Ultra ssj2 gohan has AOE green cards, nameku blue cards, strike counter, endurance, anti blast armor blast cards and etc. UUI can't be combo'd by strikes, has cover change prevention (which is why he'll always have value, unlike super baby 2), debuffs ultimate's, and gets type neutrality on ult after a unit dies. Even frieza is better than s17 since he gets vanish restoration on green cards, increases blast arts costs, comeback, and gets type neutrality buffs after his comeback mechanic is used. S17 just gets lots of blast cards and lots of cover null, which doesn't really make him nearly as OP as USSJ2G, UUI, or UGF. He doesn't have an AOE green card nor have vanish restoration or even type neutrality. You might say "what about his counter green card"? Yeah good luck trying to get an actual good player to activate it because everyone is soo cautious of it that the counter is basically unusable against anyone who isn't a platinum rank or below. He has 0 defenses against USSJ2G, so gohan can basically go wild with blue cards and destroy him or use AOE green cards and one combo him. UGF will increase 17's blast card costs which basically guarantees that 17 will have to end his combo. The only unit that 17 counters is UUI and even then, no unit can counter cover change prevention, so 17 will have 1 man down on his team if a non red unit gets combo'd ever. S17 has no actual OP mechanics. Being a blast version of UVB isn't good enough to be top 1. LF cell and LF jiren are trash. Neither of them are close to the top 10. UGF, UUI, and even red beasthan can one combo them.

I don't think that's true. Jiren doesn't cancel buff effects anywhere in his kit or unique equipment. You can see from the status effect messages on Vegito that his buff effects weren't cancelled. So Jiren would have died too. If hypothetically, Jiren did cancel Vegito's buff effects MVP 17 would have survived the rush as well.
