Master Roshi’s psychological dismantling of Tienshinhan is one of the reasons why he’ll always be one of my favorite DB characters. I see the lechery as a minor character flaw designed to add levity to the show, with his prowess as a fighter and teacher being who he is at his core.

This arc marks the beginning of both a team,alliance and friendship that would last for many years even though they may not know it yet. Goes for piccolo in the next tournament if all could look back and think about it. If it was not for shen/ roshi that passed on Master Mutaito's knowledge and philosophy as well as training under Master Korin none of the earthrealm warriors would have gain their special talents and even met. It goes to show that some friendships start out rocky ( Yamcha, Krillin, Tien , Chioutzu and Piccolo ) ( especially Vegeta in the future) but over time with insight and understanding they turn into the most legendary team of Martial Artists the Universe would remember for all time.😊😊
