No, it's a good game, but the story mode is disappointing. Every character not having alt outfits sucks.They also should have had the co-op from Tenkaichi Tag Team, although I wouldn't get to enjoy that due to online multiplayer not working correctly on Steam Deck. Kakunsa main

It’s kinda like when the first tenkaichi came out for the ps2, it had its own unique identity, the story mode wasn’t the best but it was the gameplay that was the attraction. But when the Tenkaichi 2 came out, it was beautiful perfect, so many story mode battles, the tournaments the extra characters. Can’t wait to see what they have planned for the next Sparking Zero!!!

The game does feel like they worked on it for 17 years. All the details and polish is just peak quality.

Yeah but there are a few character designs that are off a tiny bit. Teen Goku never wore boots, for instance. And for whatever reason, Vegeta's hands look gigantic on him.

Ah, it's so nice listening to someone who's thankful for the game. I wish the story mode and cutscenes were like Kakarot. With Sparking Zeros authentic combat and counter mechanics, it would've been the best DBZ story mode ever made. Also, kind of disappointed that SZ doesn't also have a CaC mode and new story like Ultimate Tenkaichi but NOT trash. XV2's CaCs feel like dollar store knock offs.

I love that this game exists. I love that it feels just like a PS2 game with modern graphics. It's honestly the exact kind of game we're missing nowadays. Just a fun Dragon Ball sandbox that isn't overly monetized (yet). 💙

I definitely like the game a lot. The episode battle difficulty can be a pain in the rear tho. I wish there was a way to either lower the difficulty and still get the scenario unlocked or like you said using custom characters after beating the story battle once. I do hope we see some good updates happen like cross-play for customs battles and online plus.

The limitation with splitscreen is actually because of the devs having to keep the Xbox Series S in mind. Instead of bullding seperate versions they limited splitscreen to the hyperbolic time chamber where performance is best. Modders have already got splitscreen working on the other maps for PC

After playing around with the difficulty setting in free battle it seems like the difficulty is episode battle correspond to at least hard, it's wild.

@17:40 It's not that the PS5 and Series X can't handle it, it's that the Series S can't and they wanted all versions of the game to be equal. Maybe if we complain enough it'll change but like Niosai said, don't hold your breath.

If you have any of the guard or recovery assist on they prioritize blocking instead of vanishing so it messes up your inputs I think the other assist are fine though

let's just say the gameplay isn't good, let's say the graphics aren't good cus they aren't as good as FighterZ's, let's ignore all that. But EVEN THEN, we STILL get a full fledged game that works nicely at launch and has enough content!! Easy GOTY for me lol
