It technically is "high level gameplay" because higher ranks on ranked actually do play like this. Very few people are actually just throwing hands. Once you hit a certain rank its 99% cheese like this. Fighting with someone genuine is a rare experience.

The timer is a bad idea, games already aren't finished with both sides constantly attacking a lot, I think that decreasing a player's speed when he flies in a different direction than his opponent can potentially make someone faster when he is flying towards his opponent or at least play with it to see what works, kinda like how in the show when a character is running away he is usually weaker and gets caught mid running away

Honestly bro this game is not gonna last long if Bandai keeps ONLY focusing on online and PvP stuff. The thing that made bt3 so much fun was just how much you could do even without PvP. You had…actual what ifs, a decent story mode with both canon and non canon story’s, mini games in loading screens, custom outfits and alt colors for characters, custom character like great ape Nappa and raditz, so many maps galore, honestly I’d this game wants to stay alive they need to start focusing on other stuff Becuase tenkaichi isn’t made for online really.

Isn't the game supposed to play like how fights take place in the show? I think any balance changed that make the game fit that should be made. Like in the show, someone throws a big move, they are tired afterwards. They don't instant spark and throw it again. Bring back ki sickness. More options for the vanish wars would be nice but if not, just make the window for landing it shrink till it's like a 1 frame thing that's not realistic to land. That way you can still express skill without it being drawn out till someone runs out of ki. Having a way to force a fight with a sideline character would make sense too. Like how fighter z you can swap someone out. A move that knocks someone out of flight would be lit. I've seen them do that in the show. Warp infront of someone as they are flying away and kick them or something. Idk. Idk I'm no pro but I want the game to be fun and hype at all levels, not necessarily balanced.

Yup. At least Xenoverse had counter moves you can put on your CaC's to stop cheese. SZ has nothing. Xenoverse 2 does need to fix the boost dash/step vanish spam, by allowing the other player to use that burst dash counter move to hit them while using stamina. Let it hit them as they use burst dash to start a combo. For example, when you use kaioken, your opponent does nothing but run away because your stamina is draining. That's why the burst dash counter needs to be fixed to stop the opponent from dash cancelling/step vanishing all the time, making kaioken useable.

I think what some people don’t understand is there’s a difference between in balancing game mechanics and balancing characters. The tenkaichi series has never had balance in terms of the strength of the characters gogeta ssj4 was the strongest and fastest character in dragon ball when tenkaichi 3 came out. And so in game also was the strongest and fastest character and did a lot of damage compared to like a freiza. And that should be the same in Sparking zero. The issue lies with the game mechanics themselves they have taken the philosophy for the characters and applied that to the game mechanics which doesn’t make for a good time in any game. It’s one thing when one or two characters in a game have a broken ability it’s another when there’s a bunch that completely let you exploit the game. Especially when there were previous games that had ways that balanced the same mechanics previously. Super counters and other mechanics being an issue in this game are one thing. There are new mechanics they wouldn’t have know how they would ultimately effect the game negatively. So they can get a pass as long as they fix those issue but removing previous mechanics that were present in old games that helped balance out abilities that’s could be exploited is just incompetent. It’s just goes to show that the testing they did on tenkaichi 3 to prepare for making sparking zero wasn’t extensive enough or there game development philosophy they followed was misguided.

To tilt the opponent into making a mistake or buy time to generate skill points or create an opening. Increasing the timer might make stalling less likely to lead to an easy victory, but so long as it provides any notable advantage they will stall to buy themselves time to win. Unless stall mechanics are themselves changed to be unsustainable, I don't think increasing the timer will solve the issue. It'll just make matches take longer and longer and longer as players get better, without getting any more interesting.

What if abilities like insta spark and afterimage strike had a “1 time use” in a match (even in DP) so that players can’t spam it. I feel like people are getting good enough to counter and anticipate afterimage and insta spark, but maybe doing a “1 time use” would shift focus to “boxing” and not using those abilities as crutch (esp when people do insta spark twice in a row after saving skill stocks) People in that tournament were just ass - this is a testament to how humanity is losing its honor little by little, no kidding. By the way Rose, I ended up getting the game again after folks was saying that if I played it on classic controller that I would like it better. I can confirm that it’s true. Games better offline because you can face whoever you want without having to deal with 🤖 using broken teams and since the game doesn’t have a lot of offline content like I was hoping it’d have I don’t even want to play online even if you might say that you’re bad at the game but the online multiplayer shows you what characters are used online so even if you want to use a different team online you’ll be losing your rank fighting the same teams online and it😢 the players online that are the problem they will never use underated characters because if they do they’ll lose to the same teams so I hope in December they fix everything so that they game will come back better and then we can have more different teams online

Just have rules for tournaments if they don't properly patch the game 💯 how tf they didn't know????? They made the f ckin game. This dude made a entire video on how jacked up the 🧀 is and it's not the games fault. If it wasn't built for competitive tournaments why have the tournament???? I smell bs. At this point just have rules when sparking Zero has pro or friendly tournaments, that's how you solve it 💯

Sparking Zero has many technical errors that BT3 didn't have and it's very annoying. I really expected much more from this game. I spent a lot of money. The rush attacks don't connect, several of these animations are worse or simpler. The camera is horrible and it bugs. The hits lack impact. The online is horrible and I hope they improve it because it's unacceptable that it's more fun to play BT3, which is so old.
