It’s a possibility but a low one the shop is going to be for quickly unlocking characters, items and stuff like that. You can unlock characters by just playing story mode and you get zeni (the thing used in the shop) by just playing the game so there’s really no reason to put micro transactions in since you can get stuff by just playing. They’ve shown that they care about the game from how much they listen to the fans I doubt they’d just add micro transactions even if which is a pretty big if it’s not like you have to buy them

It's actually insane to me that people in the comments are still so adamant that GT will be base game when there's plenty of reasons why it wont be. Have they just not been following this game at all? 1.) There are 20ish character slots left with Buu saga reveals remaining as well as some obvious super characters missing such as: Ssj2 Caulifla Cabba Ssj Cabba Ssj2 Cabba Frost 2nd form Frost Full power Jiren God of destruction Toppo Still waiting on Basil and Lavender deconfirmation. 1 slot is confirmed to be a pre order exclusive character who hasnt been in a BT game before (Likely A21) 2.) DLC is a commonplace in modern gaming in case you werent aware yet. DLCs add new content to a game while allowing the publishers to continue milking the fanbase. You can hate that all you want, doesnt make it any less true. The fact that there are this many people coping for base game GT is proof that it would be a profitable DLC. Devs have actively avoided answering yes or no and we know this game has 1 unconfirmed dlc. The story mode only covers Z and Super. This confirms no story mode for GT. Why even have GT in the base game then? Why not add it as a dlc and have a story mode for it there with more characters? The most annoying and quite frankly the only argument these high on cope people use is "T-they showed GT in the teaser reveal!" Didnt know that counted as confirmation it would be in SZ when literally all they're doing is going over the gameplay of the old series. It's crazy that there are still so many people blatantly ignoring the evidence that GT wont be in the base game solely because they dont like that idea. Z Bardock doesn't confirm Z Broly or Gogeta. Not sure how that logic works. Z Bardock is Bardock's most popular design and it could easily just be a costume for Bardock from dbs or vice versa. This game is confirmed to have 3 dlcs. One of which we don't know the theme of. Sean Schemmel voicing ssj4 Goku doesn't mean it's part of the base game as if they were working on a GT dlc, they would need to record all of those lines in advance anyways. The last few games either omitted or relegated GT as DLC as well, with the exception of Xenoverse. GTis clearly not a priority. GT and Movie Characters were added back then, because the main story(DBZ only at the time), was told fully with every possible battle. With Dragon Ball Super, the main continuity is continued, and over 100 characters have an opportunity to be introduced. DBS can also be retold in a Tenkaichi format officially for the first time.

What were you expecting them to add into the game when they said the main focus is Z and Super? Were you expecting only fan favorites? If so you haven't played a BT game before. Part of the fun of the BT games was you could put characters like General blue up against someone like Omega Shenron. Not everyone needs to be a fan favorite, that would both be boring and stupid if a game with a roster this large only focused on the characters that are the most popular.
