If he could use /rebuild some of gero old lab equipment to make clones of sayins/ himself, theoretically yeah. Even a still developing fetus counts. Though obviously he could just spawn some cell Jr. at that point. Real question is if he counts as a sayin in the spiritual sense, as i assume the ritual isn't strictly based on just having sayin DNA, but rather has be a sayin or descendant of one. . He could absorb the required sayins temporarily, expelling them afterwards, this would actually make for an interesting scenario, as he has to sneak around while in a crippled/fluctuating state while hunting and absorbing targets, and would have to avoid goku and vegita at all costs unless he got really lucky and got the drop on them somehow. With the existence of the multivers he could go to (think it wasunivets 8?) And have a much easier time doing this, all while avoiding the local deities. Cells path to divine perfection could be genuinely interesting.

Im a fan of the show, I have seen almost the entire thing when it first released, and I still greatly enjoy the parody. I don't think its a case of him sensing it, he can just physically feel and see the effects of it, even if he doesn't know what it is, its enough to know its different and powerful by his standards. After all even the other Z fighters have made similar statements/reactions and they can't feel god ki energy either but the effects are obvious enough.
