Dragon Ball Super Episode 131 was the ending of the series. With Goku & Freeza VS Jiren serving as the last battle of the series. With all the twisted and turns of the Tournament of Power and Android 17 being declared the winner, Blackenfist does his breakdown of this finale.

What I got from this is that the tournament was to see if the winner would be a good universe. The good universe saves the others, thus, humbling them, and possibly making them change their methods and ways. Essentially without that act of grace, and seeing the universe learn a lesson, Zeno would see that Zamasu did nothing wrong.

It should have been Vegeta in this final battle. So they setup some dots but decided to flip it on us, why for? For the sake of "subversion"? Please!

The tournament would have hit home more if violence and killing was not banned from the tournament. I mean, in that sense, the characters would have truly been fighting for their lives with their lives actually at stake. Like, imagine if Frieza was just savagely murdering people while Toppo was taking the humane route, eliminating people in a nonviolent way. Toppo sees this and is shocked by the brutality and barbaric behavior of universe 7. First this fool Goku who brings about the apocalypse. Then thus monster frieza. As Toppo fights Goku, as much as he hates him, he refuses to murder him. But then he is attacked by Frieza from behind. From there,Frieza literally starts torturing him to death for fun. As Frieza moves in for the final blow, on his death bed, Toppo finally snaps, renouncing his vow not to never kill, and accept the power of Destruction in order to kill frieza. That would hit powerfully. Way harder than what we got.

Great points Blackenfist! Yeah all in all I can't say I liked this arc unfortunately. It was kinda a waste of time if I'm being honest. The ending itself was painfully vanilla too. I'll take GT's over this one any day. But at the very least Freeza and 17 were entertaining (as well as frustrating) so I guess if anyone were to be helping Goku in the end, I'd want it to be these too. Maybe in a good series I'd just turn my brain off and enjoy the fights with a concept like this, not here however. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the upcoming movie dude 🤘

On a completely different note, I feel that the omni kings are a reflection of us(the audience). Think about it; whenever there is some cool fight going on, they react like kids, marvelling at them(like how the audience is expected to react). And also their power to erase everything(like how we as an audience have the power to completely make this show dissappear through low ratings etc.) And lastly, their name itself. The omni king.(The audience is the king to any series.)

I feel like the rushed ending was because they didn't have a new voice actor for Bulma yet. They couldn't give her any lines, and since it wouldn't make any sense to have the others talk but not her, they went with a clip show with still images instead.

They couldnt have had an epilogue episode, this was it. Dont crticize the pacing because toei had to cram a massive ending into 23 minutes. I agree that it didnt feel like a proper closing. 130 should have ended the tournament itself. Good video!

I liked the ending it was better than z’s ending. Goku: bye guys flies off with f***ing uub some kid we just met. Also super wasn’t perfect, Dragonball has never been the best anime there are better written better voice acted and overall superior animes to any version of dragon ball but its still hype as f**k and don’t tell me f***ing buu saga is way better than this. Also Goku time gets too much hate but other than its ending and character design it’s still just as bad or worse as super......the end😩
