This series has been through a lot since the first season (which was about 15 years ago), even two of the founding members of Team Four Star said that the first season was cringe but keep it going to see how far they’ve come

Hello! Welcome to the DBZ Abridged fandom, Gina! I do, however, have a few suggestions: 1) Turn on the subtitles. The voice work is amateurish (even in later seasons) and you can miss some subtle humor without them. The subtitles also give you the names of characters and allow you to quickly learned them. This also helps your viewers in case you have to mute the audio, so we can still follow along. 2) While there's no official watchlist, I have nevertheless complied a suggested list after being tasked to come up with one. I can't force you to watch them in this order, but it's strongly suggested, both for comedic and narrative reasons. This playlist doesn't include the extras and music videos (but add them at your pleasure), only the abridged episodes/specials/movies. Episodes 10, 30, and 60 have multiple parts, that I honestly recommend you watch together. I give my word that this is the best order. @@BigGator5 I've certainly never been the type to care enough to get offended on someone else's behalf... but HOW DARE YOU call TFS' voice work "amateurish." They made a parody using skill and technique that rival, and often surpass, even the source material. I'd very much like to see you (or anyone else) do even 10% of what they were able to accomplish with the series. Also, why the hell would you even go thru the efforts of assembling a watchlist for a show you don't respect/appreciate in the first place? What, you just like to shove your opinions where they're not needed? Do you get off on the anonymous validation of what intellect you actually do possess? Sounds like some serious sociopathic behavior, if you ask me. You speak with an elitist smugness in your tone, so let me be your gentle reminder-of-the-day: 1. You're not hot stuff; no one here is. 2. You're not the definitive-voice-of-reason of anything; no one here is. 3. First season DBZA came with it's flawes but it's get better and better, specially in Season 3, that was the time when TFS find their own "mojo" to this.

Abridged is fantastic; you are in for a wonderful journey. You'll be able to see their skills and equipment quality improving massively throughout the series. EDIT: Also, if you decide to watch the series with subtitles, do *not* use the "Canadian" subtitles. Those have a lot of extra junk added in by fans, and most of it completely kills any humor.

@@gina_geek but if you ever come back to watch multiple times, do put on canadian subtitles, as they will add context and puns to jokes you've heard so many times before, they start to loose effect haha

These videos are old and the quality could be better, but I promise if you make it passed episode 10 you'll be in love. DBZ Abridged is my canon

I hope you keep watching it. It gets better every season. Though you might miss some jokes. I am sure the comments will be willing to fill you in. Though you should still watch the original. It's the show that is the godfather of a lot of current anime. Also remember it started in the 80s.

The original is much better in my opinion but this one is funny and also some things they say are solely for comedy and not to be taken seriously lure wise
