DBZ was my first anime and holds and special place in my heart:) I already really love this abridged series and am so excited to go on my DBZ abridged reaction journey.

I love that we get the wholesome sibling interaction between 16 and 17 - they’re not family in the same sense as 17 and 18 but they’ve already pretty much adopted him into their family since there is the connection they have.

17 is influencing him to be freer, to stop solely focusing on coldly carrying out his mission, & stop to enjoy the journey, even get a hobby of birdwatching, for its own sake. Likewise, 16 is influencing 17 to appreciate his way of doing things, simple, straightforward, no nonsense. 16 is not stylish, he doesn't trash talk, or have an ego. He is just content & peaceful with who he is. I think 17 is mellowing out a bit more.

You caught the USS M’Dick 😂 Yes! It carries over in the Trunks movie! Future Bulma mentions she misses country, and 18 brings up how they wiped it out when her and 17 are bored

There are two references to country music in History of Trunks from what I remember. The first one is Bulma turning on the radio, and saying "I miss country". The other from what I remember was the androids talking while attacking a city. It went something like... "I'm tired of this whole great destroyer shtick. What's there really left to do after you wipe a whole genre of music off the face of the planet?". Which plays right back into 18's comment right at the end of this episode about knowing what the first thing they'll do after their plan to kill Goku.

8:00 It just hit me that Bulma didn't just make a time machine, she made an alternate universe machine too. Trunks created a new timeline that wasn't his by saving Goku with the medicine. Yet hes still able to jump between his timeline and the main one despite them not being connected anymore.

Hmm, do we think that Yajirobe has enough ki to make his skin bulletproof? We know that even high-grade Saiyans are vulnerable to human-level attacks when completely off-guard but even Bora, the Native American guy (Can't really call him that if it's not in America though lol) could shrug off bullets in O.G. There's no reason that Yaji shouldn't be at that level if he can de-tail a combat-focused Great Ape.
