Originally, KaiserNeko was up for voicing all three forms of Cell, but stepped down because Takahata's Cell voice was too much fun to pass up, and he was working on Trunks's voice. In the wake of C. Martin Croker's passing in September 2016, Takahata101 later revealed that his voice for Imperfect Cell was inspired after Croker's voice for Zorak from Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. They didn’t show the 16/Gero son connection, but I’m pretty sure Toriyama revealed it somewhere. It was crazy finally seeing it in universe with Super Hero. I think it was also said in a game or two

For context, for those who missed it, the reason for Piccolo Zorro is because the Dub VA, Chris Sabat is the voice of both Piccolo and Zorro. Sabat voices vegeta in the dub as well. When I first saw it, I didn't get the reference until I was like "oh I get it.

Cell is terrifying. The more you think about it, the more terrifying he is, and the more I see these scenes in the cities where Cell visits, the more I can absolutely understand he’s something Gero made to be the end.

@@Shifty51991 They are not mentioned in the actual series, but they are mentioned in Q&As and interviews. For example, Android 16 was based on Gero's son, who was a soldier that fought and died for the Red Ribbon Army. However, Goku defeated the Red Ribbon Army, which made his sacrifice pointless, explaining Gero's deep hatred towards Goku. Gero also made 16's personality a gentle one so that he wouldn't get into fights and be destroyed.

He's much more brooding and scary in the original uncut series, but TFS did a good job making his character brilliantly dark and humorous. His call in and selection of 'video killed the radio star' makes me crack up laughing every time. I love dark humor.

Also you really do need to watch Dragon Ball!!!! You're missing sooo much origin stories and in Dragon Ball, it starts out with a more fun-adventure tone but as you go on, it begins to get more serious at the same time. There's progression, and who we know as the Z Fighters all had their moments in Dragon Ball. A very good story for any DBZ lover I always say!

The celloween special is just a short Halloween themed special involving cell and krillin in some filler. It's not *essential* but it does tie into tje next episode

I can only describe imperfect cell as the unholy fusion of a xenomorph and a sex offender, he's a ominous, animalistic and sexual being who's only way of communicating is via sexual innuendos . In many ways he's actually more of a threat than his upgrade , cause he's more unpredictable, erratic and desperate to achieve his singular desire, he becomes much more predictable and human like in his moves and reactions and loses his edge as a result after the upgrade to semi perfect.

I've noticed that "three hours" seems to clearly be someone on TFS's idea of exactly how long something can happen before it becomes annoying. Goku was screaming for three hours. Piccolo and Kami were sitting on the lookout not fusing for three hours. Goku cried, terrorizing Broly for three hours. Any other examples I'm forgetting?

15:20 It may surprise you, but there actually is a special where Dragon Ball and One Piece cross over. It was to help the launch of a new series called Toriko, they had Goku and Luffy and the lead character of Toriko fight to see who of the three of them was the strongest. It was actually pretty fun to watch if you get a chance!

"Do I hear five?"... well, considering Doctor Gero and the clown guy are 19 and 20, I'd say they missed a few... from the ones I remember, 13,14 and 15 have their own movie, so does 8 ("road to power", look it up, he is more epic than in the og dragonball), and Sergeant Metalitron is number 10... then consider Dr Gero only gave numbers to the succesful ones, there could be hundreds.
