My favorite headcannon is that Vegeta had no idea who he was appearing before, and if it had been anyone else who he didnt know, he would have continued pretending to be this eldrich god awakened by the sound of battle, splitting the entire iceberg apart to make his appearance, and terrifying the shit out of whatever unfortunate scientific expedition he happened upon.

So 14s voice is an image turned into a sound file. If you use a special program (or just look it up) you can see the image they used for everything he says. Also the song they used in the last battle is from the game Bastion. It is named "From Wharf To Wilds". A really amazing OST btw, as Bastion is made by the same people who did the Hades game.

I'm pretty sure the in canon reason why they didn't go super saiyan earlier is because they haven't mastered the form yet. It takes significant stamina to transform into and maintain the form. I think the idea is to conserve your energy until you get into a situation where you have no choice to push yourself to the next level.

Either that, or saving it until you know it'll count. Assessing the enemy's strength and techniques first, then transforming to finish them quickly. Rather than transforming immediately, and risking the battle dragging out because they haven't yet figured out how to best utilize that power to swiftly defeat the opponent.

The reason android 14 speaks like that (static) is cause it is literally images turned into sound. The original video in the description has a link to a site/software that will help translate it. If you put the audio in of what he says it converts them back to images

11:56 "sup?" was the official dub line, they had fun in the English dub with this movie. 20:19-20:21 actual dialogue from said dub, TFS just stretched the scene for a bit.

That southern narrator voice you hear while our heroes are getting their asses handed to them is actually Christopher R. Sabat who is the actual voice of Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha and more voices in the actual Dragon Ball Z cast! He's actually a huge fan of the Abridged series

To be fair, when they go SSJ it does take up stamina so it makes sense for them to transform later when they're out matched....until later on they completely master it and don't have to worry about losing stamina.

Also one thing i REALLY love about it is that moment where gero gets really desesperate and starts yelling "KILL SON GOKU KILL SON GOKU" it nails gero so well, that man has spent his whole life trying to get back at goku and as far as he know that is the very last chance of revenge he can get.

For context, you cant make a spirit bomb while super saiyan cause it corrupts it But a spiritbomb wouldnt do much to a soulless android cause it tracks evil So goku turns super saiyan mid build and absorbs it to deal the finishing blow

The sounds Android 14 makes are actually pictures turned into sound using PhotoSounder. You can reverse his sounds and get a hidden image! Fun Fact: The voice of Teen Gohan is not the usual MasakoX, but Justin Briner, who later became the English voice of Deku in My Hero Academia (2016). Justin Briner was going to voice Teen Gohan in the Buu Saga, but that clearly didn't happen. Ryan Palmer became the voice of Teen Gohan in the Buu Bits. You should know that I actually hate Spirit Bomb, so it should come at no surprise that I think Spirit Saiyan is super extra dumb.

It was a movie, yeah. The dbz movies are mostly just, alternate universe stuff that dont match up with the original story. Tfs still tries to keep them psudo canon by matching the timing to make it make sense with where it is.

Yeah this one was super fast paced with the gags and jokes. It has the feel of one of their Kai episodes because it comes at you so fast it’s almost exhausting. P.S. If you liked this one, Broly’s even better

This was a movie not a saga or story in the show. They also feel upset that they waisted such a cool power up in the movie and not the series. Such as the Spirit Sayain. Goku gathering energy to form a spirit bomb and then absorbing the entire thing to become a spirit sayain. Another example being that they have Frieza one of the most iconic villains of the franchise have a non canon movie brother

Beside the Story of Bardock and the History of Trunks which they are their own side story of the series, none of the movies are cannon just there own thing. TFS does sprinkle in stuff from the series and there own jokes into the movies kind of like an Easter egg but all of the DBZ movie have no connection to the series.
