One thing i love about the second commercial (besides Chris being the narrator) is how it's a reminder that Irwin imported a whole bunch of figures long before Funimation had dubbed the episodes and movies that introduce those characters. It's important to remember that the series had only been dubbed up to the Frieza Saga, or maybe the Garlic Jr. Saga, and yet Irwin released figures of SSJ3 Goku, Adult Gohan, and Majin Buu.

Every inaccuracy in these commercials (because I have no life): - Vegito fighting Android 13 despite fusion never being a thing and the Kai's never been introduced. - Berter fighting alongside Goku and Trunks??? I swear the cutaway from vegito hitting super 13 to the show and back again actually made their impact so epic to me as a kid. Idk especially with the sound affects as the toys clashed together. It really brought my imagination to life and is something I think about even to this day!

The craziest part is that some of these commercials (I think “Gohan’s in trouble” and Super Android 13 vs Vegito”) aired BEFORE Americans got the Cell or Buu Sagas? Could you imagine coming home after school, turning Toonami on, and seeing one of these commercials? Kids would be so confused as to why there’s an orange-haired Super Saiyan fighting Goku in a blue outfit with earrings on.

I find it really funny and charming that they tried to advertise dragon ball like it was your standard Saturday morning American cartoon.
