Seeing Trunks flying solo off into the horizon is bittersweet. He saved the world, but lost all the Z-Fighters his family/friends in the fight against the androids. He had become the earth's sole and only protector and what's really sad is that this the TRUE linear timeline. Future Trunks will always be my favorite character in front of his father in this series.

That's true, but both future Mr. Satan and future Videl are dead way before that. They were slain by the androids in past attacks to Orange city. It is sad, because both future Gohan and future Videl are gone and they were never able to meet, and because of that Pan was never born. Gotens and Bulla also suffered the same fate as Pan, they were never born, because future Goku perished from the heart virus and future Vegeta was slain by android 17, so future Chi-Chi never conceived Gotens and future Bulma never convinced Bulla.

He also couldn’t use the dragonballs in Goku’s timeline because Shenron’s powers can’t reach through time or into other universes, and he likely doesn’t know the super dragonballs exist, and even if he did, he wouldn’t be able to collect and use them since they’re the size of planets and he doesn’t speak the language of the gods.

TIP: IF YOU ARE expansion for the first time and reading my comment there are so many so so many D MEDALS everywhere. Just like use your vision on top of a building in any city and do a 360 degree check. I found like 80 medals in 2 hours in the few areas. Anywhere where there's houses and cars or people especially there's bound to be at least one D medal. Also check out the training room in capsule Corp no need to unlock it like in main game. You basically only need to be level 115 to do it all (on easy). Make sure to pick up the quest after you finish cell I think it was done really well at first they came off as rushed but considering the storyline it gave us something that we only got to see once and the fact that they included in this expansion is so cool

The time machine can only be used twice before needing a recharge period, and even if they went back in time, they would only be changing the past of a parallel world, thus creating a parallel timeline and not affecting the main timeline.

I don't know why he didn't bring Dende from the past to his future timeline, in order to revive the dragon balls and the other thing is, why trunks didn't ask Goku for the coordinates of new Namek, he could easily get the coordinates from Goku, get a space ship from Bulma from present timeline, go to his timeline and travel to his new Namek version. Goku could at least teach Trunks how to use instant transmission. I don't know, there's a lot of ways he could bring back the z fighters, it's like he didn't care about bringing them back at all, he just considered them all gone and not worth bringing them back.

Because Piccolo was slain by android 18. When Piccolo dies, Kami also dies and the dragon balls become useless. Now you might wonder why Trunks didn't travel to Namek to use the Namekian dragon balls to revive the Z fighters, the answer is simple after the old Namek was destroyed by Frieza, the Namekian wished Porunga to give them a new home where no one could find them easily, so Trunks and Bulma have to idea where new Namek is, even in dragon ball Resurrection F, the Frieza force wasn't able to find new Namek, so for Trunks it would take decades. Now you'll wonder why he didn't use the Super Dragon Balls, well, there's two reasons, they are scattered between universe 6 and 7, so Trunks can't travel that far. Second, Trunks needs to know the language of the Gods, which is impossible because the only ones who know it, are the Kai's, the God of Destruction and the Angels. The only alternative is if Trunks was able to break the Z sword, free Old Kai and convinced him to give his life to Goku, in order to bring him back and find the Namekian Dragon Balls with the help of King Kai, unfortunately when Trunks faced Dabura, he used the z sword, Dabura spit on the sword, which turns it into stone, and blast it off with a ki attack, killing Old Kai on the process. Dabura and Babidi also killed the Supreme Kai, which means that the God of Destruction, Beerus also dies and his Angel Whis becomes inactive until Zeno or the Grand Priest, chooses a new God of Destruction. So pretty much Trunks is out of luck in a way. By the way, to make matters even worse, I'm still missing the fact that Zamasu arrives at Trunks timeline, which causes Trunks entire multiverse and timeline to be erased out of existence, which means all the people he knew are into oblivion forever, except his girlfriend Mai and him. Yup, the guy needs a huge break, a mental institution, medication, and lots of therapy after all that mess. Imagine another person and you to be the only beings left, out of a universe or should I say a timeline, that ceases to exist( no afterlife, nothing at all).

In namek saga Bulma Krillin and Gohan used Kami's ship to go to Namek and Goku used the Spaceship which contained some of his old spaceship(he came to earth when he was a baby) material to reach Namek.
