I don’t remember you mentioning it other than preferring to play in hand held for crispness I’m guessing it has a slightly lower resolution but I don’t want to infer too much. I played it on Xbox when it released. It could have been a bit better sure but this is the closest we have come to the kind of game I've always wanted in Dragon Ball universe since I was a kid. The closest to the style was Buu's Fury on GBA. I recommend for an DBZ fan.

Good review! It did answer all of my open questions and concerns about the port. I may have to pick it up at some point. I've got plenty of games to play right now, and generally, the Bamco Switch titles have seen discounts 4-6 months after release.

I got my digital copy of the game with its DLC on Switch for half off on my birthday (Sep 11 for reference). Instead of $60+ for the base game it ended up being around $20 or $30 with the DLC included. I haven’t had a chance to play it yet but I can tell that the price drop along with the included DLC will probably be worth it.

I really enjoyed this on PS4, so I was pretty excited when they announced it to was coming to Switch, I love me some Dragonball Z RPGS on the go (Legacy of Goku 2 and 3 on GBA and the SNES you can play with an emulator), so I'm very excited this runs well, may end of buying it for myself as a birthday gift later this year lol I never played the DLC on PS4, so I'm excited to get into that.

I think they only did small updates for battle of gods and resurrection f. And I don't think it was a substantial amount of content either. I think that's all you'll get since there hasn't been an update in a long time on other consoles.

We’re more likely to get a sequel based on Super instead. This game barely touches stuff related to Super. BOG and Rez F are technically DBZ, and the Trunks DLC goes to the Buu saga, but doesn’t show Goku Black. I would be happy with a DBS Kakarot though.

Having played the same 3 sagas for the 100 billionth time was one the reasons I steered clear off this. But it looks like they've done something they've never done before here so that's what sparked my interest the most. That and I've been having DBZ/Super fever as of late. throwing everything including Super into one game would've probably been a bit much so fingers crossed they make a sequel.

They aren’t adding Dragon Ball Super content to this game at all. Hence why it’s called Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and not Dragon Ball Super: Kakarot. We’ll most likely get a sequel that’ll be simply called Dragon Ball Super: Kakarot.

Or but nintendo license games in sales otherwise id have prolly bought almost every game in the eshop by now. Most of the Bandai Namco ports brought to the switch have been Phenomenal. After playing through Little Nightmares, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy, FighterZ, and DB XenoVerse on Switch, it looks like this game will deliver a quality experience worth the price of admission.

I think for me the upset was the EXP inbalance. Like, I enjoy grinding in games, so I did some grinding before fighting Radditz, and I would have to kill like a thousand creeps to get the amount of EXP I got from the Radditz fight alone, which just makes fighting anything outside of boss fights feel useless

I don't like that but there's such a lack of enemy variety that I'm bored of grinding after an hour. But you know... that just makes it into another game where you fight all the major villains through the dbz arcs.. but without the roster. It's a poor man's xenoverse if xenoverse was more expensive.

Lol don't do the beerus and frieza dlc 😂 though at least switch physical includes them (future trunks/gohan dlc was the best and is not postgame). You'll be doing whis' training forever and dig in inventory that does not sort leveling sacred water rewards so gohan and piccolo can catch up. At least there's sparking zero upcoming. I'd skip on the lazy overpriced $40 season pass 2 as world tournament (piccolo jr) uses lazy screenshot cutscenes and bardock is very short though prince vegeta vs cui was a cool backstory.

So basicly even the brawler RPG fighting game thing is filled with filler episodes... This game really does follow the source material as closely as possible... On a more positive note, as someone who also grew up with DBZ as my favourite show as a kid, this game is a must have for me, though probably not at full price, since I almost always wait for a sale... And I`ll probably end up picking the game up on either PC or XBOX as well for the visual / framerate improvement (again, on sale though)

Playing on PC in crisp detail at 60 fps is a real treat! A great refreshing way to experience the story in a new way. Although cut scenes are all rendered at 30 fps so that can't be fixed. I picked it up on sale for PS4 last year but never had the opportunity to play that far into it since my TV is normally being used to watch kids shows for my son lol! Just started on PC on my laptop and I'm about to start the Namek saga and I love it!

Getting the floating bubbles is... Superman 64 lvl 🤮 Enemies are always the same and the RPG part... if they wanted it, they would have used all Dragonball, not just the second part. But animations and cutscenes are really great and controls are nice. Akira Toriyama helped creating some quests but watch out ! Some English translations are weird and can give wrong ideas about the canon. (I'm French but my consoles are in English)

Sweet, I was wondering if it'd be worth it to get on the Switch..I rented it once back when it came out on PS4 but I have so many games I tend to bounce around..I do keep 90% of my Switch games though so if I bought it I wanted it to be on a console I enjoy and am likely to keep playing for awhile yet. Im just glad im not trying to keep up with sony and microsoft anymore. Gaming used to be that middle ground hobby now its like a high end hobby switch is a breath of fresh air in gaming and on the wallet. Wich is why i feel they should perfect the switch before making a new one that way when they add the extra fancy sruff and all the devs are used to almost everything but the new. This is what made consoles better then pc sometimes for gaming! Cause pc games have to work on thousands of diff configurations of hardware so less time to refine the hardware they work on. Consoles all work the same which is what allowed games like uncharted to look so amazing on weaker specs then pc. Because they had the time to figure out how much they could push those specs and refine how smooth it played out. Idk i may be dumb but i feel this is why some of the best games of all time came in the 360, ps3 era. The quality of what you could find vs the crap beats every other console generation to date. I feel we get better games and a better industry when hardware actually stays around for an actual generation rather then every few years. Thats why i think the direction microsoft is seeming to go like a steam box route where you can just by a new graphics card and catch up bit by bit rather then a whole console, may be the best option long term profit wise.

Very nice game on switch. I love DBZ series and games but I bored playing. Same story and same characters. I not bored Xenoverse after Xenoverse 2 with almost same story. Character creation, diffrent moves and options is much better. I wish we could change the main characters. Maybe android 18, android 21, little bit unreal but chichi or bulma(would be pretty fun) XD
