@Tom.B Yeah that is true, it is my opinion. I think it has merit though. A good example is right here. A major sub plot of the Buu arc was to show how Vegeta was able to reconcile his differences and jealously with Goku to a point they worked together, at the end Vegeta respected him and they became friends. A a plot ignored and or forgotten in DBS.

If you really want a version that would elicit tears, check out the original Japanese broadcast. Once Goku’s energy is restored, the music turns to a somber and bittersweet tune. It truly compliments the wish of Goku for a good version of Buu and the look in Buu’s eyes as he realizes the end is coming. The music reaches a crescendo as everyone calls out to Goku to do it, and there is nothing but silence other than the dying screams of Buu and the ambient hum of the Spirit Bomb as it vaporizes Buu and explodes. A fitting end to the final battle of an epic series.

Goku defeating Buu is one of my favorite moments in Dragon Ball Z along with Goku vs Vegeta first encounter, Goku vs Frieza and Gohan vs Cell. I still remember when Toonami was airing the dubs. Those were great times.

The GOAT 😂🔥🔥 Goku is a good guy who loves martial arts. He's very accepting as sees the good in others. That's why when fighting Good Buu he sensed he was innocent or couldn't help his ways the same way he saw that Kid Buu was a mindless beast that never had the chance to be a good person so he wished him back as a human just so he could give him a second chance to be better, meet him someday and train him so he could have a fun training partner.
