The fact that when we watch this we were all about the same age as Teen Gohan and it truly was such a badass feeling to witness a kid of our age beat a villain like Cell. Made us kids feel unstoppable! I think many overlook that fact that Teen Gohan was and is our own personal empowerment growing up. There's never no fear for the cast cuz nothing will ever happen to them, it always rinse and repeat, we know who's going to save the day, absolutely no story. They're also writing themselves out of enemies because their becoming too strong which leads to not interesting characters. Hell, in the Granolah arc, Granolah and Gas both had to use the dragonballs to wish themselves to become the strongest in the universe. Although the arc has some interesting stuff in it, it has its downfalls. Even against Moro, it literally ended the same exact way as Majin Buu. Where Goku had to be the one to save the day and everybody else had to give up their own ki for Goku.

Madison’s tears and emotional reaction were so beautiful, and it was great that she fought through her sadness and said “I can talk”. Just like the Z Fighters at the end, she did what she could. She is also a fighter 💪🏻✨. Every single person who praises any aspect of this episode and the final moments is absolutely right. This episode and these scenes remain at the peak of anime history for good reason. In the end, it is a victory for teamwork over selfishness. Love over hate. Nurturing over destruction. Cell was an absolute monster who had no guilt about taking anything from anyone. The Z Fighters on the other hand are an extended family with shared experiences and journeys and accomplishments, they uplift one another, empower each other, stick by those they care about. If you want to model your life after either side, you definitely should model it after the heroes’ side. Stick by your friends and family, and don’t allow monsters (and they do come in human form too) to ruin your happiness and well-being. Fight for what and who you love, and protect it and them with all your heart ♥️✊🏻. Thanks again for sharing these magical moments and your reactions to them with us, Baris and Madison. This was without a doubt the greatest ending to a Dragon Ball Z saga! This whole episode was just pure epicness. The biggest Kamehameha clash ever between Super Saiyan 2 Gohan and Super Perfect Cell, resulting in my personal favorite moment in all of DBZ, maybe even topping Gohan turning SSJ2 for the first time: The iconic Father-Son Kamehameha that finally finished off Cell! Without Goku’s help and motivation, Gohan would’ve never killed Cell and the Earth would’ve most likely been destroyed. Besides, Goku also saved the earth by previously sacrificing his life to prevent Cell’s explosion on the planet. Therefore, we have two equally important heroes at the end of the Cell Saga: Gohan as well as his father Goku. All of this is why this is by far my favorite episode in the history of Dragon Ball!

This right here is peak Dragon Ball. Everything from this arc has just been so amazing and so well built up. The final kamehameha with Goku assisting his son one final time in a kamehameha that will decide the faith of the whole planet. Seeing all the Z-fighters come together and try to help Gohan take out Cell in one last ditch effort to save the planet. When each character was giving their monologue on how Goku and Gohan impacted their life was just so beautiful that I was even started to tear up with you guys. When I saw you guys freakin out and crying when you saw Cell start to disappear with the epic music in the background I felt that. This saga also tied literally every character arc together. Trunks has way more then enough power to finally change his timeline for the better. Of 1 in billion Trunks timelines out there that is just nothing but misery he finally gets that one good ending. Piccolo and Kami finally putting their differences aside to overcome this great threat of Cell. Kami and Piccolo reuniting into one being is something that has been previewed even in the original Dragon Ball series and it finally closed here. Gohan tapping into his hidden power was something we have been seeing since like the second or third episode in Z. Now Gohan has gained that ability to control that power. Goku giving his life for the Earth one last time and coming back in spirit to help his son overcome this great threat. Best saga, best moments, best and most satisfying ending. What a journey this was. Also RIP Android 16. Despite being an Android he changed the world in a great way and without him there would probably be no Earth.

Greatest episode ending of a saga ever! Goku still was the MVP in the background because of him telepathically coaching Super Saiyan 2 Gohan to the big W!!!!! But also Gohans other teacher Piccolo rallying the troops to fight Cell until the last breath! But let's not forget the big clinch by Vegeta in the final minute! The Father-Son Kamehameha and the clutch assist in that critical moment by the Prince villain-turned-anti-hero were incredible. I think the dynamics between the characters, and all the other elements and events that have transpired (deaths, character developments, good vs. evil themes), culminate into arguably what makes this saga’s finale still the best in the series.

You can't change my mind, Cell charging his Kamehameha, Gohan giving up and saying "this is how it ends" in such a calm, defeated manor, and then getting the courage to set up his blast, and ultimately, the walk toward Cell with it, it's the most legendary moment in both DBZ and anime history. My favourite Arc will always be The Frieza Arc but The Cell Arc's Ending is unmatched. The passing of the torch from Goku to Gohan, how Gohan surpasses his own father to become THE strongest character in The Cell Arc, how everyone tried their hand in helping Gohan take out Cell (EVEN Yamcha 😤)...then we have Vegeta (Goku's long time rival.) The one who caused the momentary distraction just long enough for Gohan to get the win!! When we put all these things together with the epic soundtrack, we get a moment in the series that will forever be an iconic moment in Anime. 🔥⚡.

This was truly the peak of the dragon ball franchise it never got better than this. Cell has to be the most well-written, well-executed, and well-themed villain death ever. Everything from Vegeta overcoming his pide/ego to help the son of the goku , Cell's expression when he first starts disintegrating is one of the most haunting death faces in any anime, because he did not at all expect Gohan to be able to do it and truly believed that he was invincible, Gohan's story finally come full circle from his very first introduction to the series. Truly a masterpiece of story telling that the franchise(DBZ) failed to eclipse. It still has epic moments beyond this but not to the same degree as cells death.

I was 11 years old when this aired for the first time on Toonami in the late 90s, half of the boys in my class were zoned into this saga as if mankind depended on it in real life. I didn't care about class, my homework, the school gossip or the politics at home etc All that mattered was sitting glued to the TV at 6pm everyday watching how Gohan would get the victory. I kid you not, I mustve been holding my breath in without realising it cos all I remember when Gohan dropped, smiled and laughed with that happy OST confirming it was all over....I was gasping for air and felt the weight/burden he carried lifted. Went into school the next day to see the boys and we all shook hands due to the earth being in peace once again and acknowledged no matter who our fav DBZ fighter was, Son Gohan was the strongest and not to be fucked with, WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE IN

3 battles are happening here: Gohan vs Cell, Gohan battling his own self doubt and Vegeta battling his pride to help a saiyan in one on one battle. Z fighters won all those battles. Also Vegeta only appreciates Picollo helping and helps Gohan himself because he knows Gohan is not a true warrior and doesn't thirst for battle.

Remember that Goku gave Cell that senzu bean because his faith in Gohan was so strong that he believed if Gohan unleashed his full power then he would win even if Cell was at full strength & he was right. Gohan deciding to take his time making Cell suffer is what led to him coming back stronger.

This episode right here was the pinnacle of DBZ in terms of intensity and emotions. That being said, I can't wait to see you guys react to TeamFourStar's DBZ Abridged and witness their amazing take on the series. There's so many amazing well written father-son moments leading up to this climax that you can hardly even call it a parody but more so a dedicated love letter to DBZ and Akira Toriyama. It might probably take some time until you guys get to DBZ Abridged, but I can guarantee you'll be having a huge blast as we're also eager to watch your reactions. (P.s: Since Madison put Vegeta in her top favourites in terms of character development, it's gonna be very intriguing to see what she'll think Vegeta's evolution and atonement in the Buu Saga. Such epicness. This is one of many fights I go back to occasionally. It's hard to ever doubt Gohan, even when he's getting beaten. You're always waiting for that potential to shine though, and then it does; most of the time x) It's crazy how Cell was not only fully restored, but also became an SSJ2 from his death, and still got taken out by Gohan at half strength. Great ending. By the way, I get teary eyed when I hear their speeches as well; especially Piccolo's 😢😢😢

So the reason why vegeta didn't go attack cell at first wasn't because of fear it was because he thought his efforts wouldn't be enough but if you notice vegetables blast was the only blast out of the rest that actually hurt cell. That gave the opening for gohan to destroy cell and mind you gohan was only using one hand. Imagine if he had both....gohan is such a beast (PUN INTENDED 😉)

I'll never forget when I saw this episode for the first time me and my friends were cheering Gohan on and everything. This is the Beast Gohan that we saw in the movie but to hear Vegeta's super Saiyan transformation music come in and when the blast hit cell and made him buckle his knees was literally the hypest moment in DBZ history then to hear Goku Now Gohan Now!!! My favorite episode hand's down. The dialog, the music, the emotion, the intensity, they can't make it any better than this. I honestly half expected her to be jumping around all over the room, I know I was. Hope to see the aftermath episodes. Can't wait to see what the FUTURE will bring.

These last few episodes. This is where DBZ hit its peak.This episode is just SO TENSE. They probably could have milked it with one episode (espcially considering how long the battle with Frieza was), but this was perfect. And they even set the series up right going forward. Goku is gone. Vegita's redemption arc completes. The final boss is defeated by a team effort. Goku standing behind Gohan during the kamehameha. The Earth is safe, with new and young characters waiting in the wings. Turns out there was a level beyond Super Saiyan. And epic life advice like "it may feel like you've been defeated, but what's really draining your strength is doubt." If you thought the Freiza saga was epic (and it was), the android and Cell sagas just continuously ramp up and up and up with each episode culminating with this masterpiece. Even to this day over 20 years later I watch this with a body covered in goosebumps and eyes filled with tears. It's even fucking BETTER than I remember it. Everything seems so wrapped up and complete. THIS is why the series drops off from here. Death means nothing. No generational change. Vegita back to his old ways. The low power characters go back to meaning nothing after giving awesome speeches. There are more levels to super saiyan than Super Mario World. Power scaling becomes meaningless. Gods and gods of gods. I was around 15 when I watched this. It was life changing, and then I couldn't even make it through the Buu Saga it fell so flat. My fandom was extinguished because they went back on everything they built up. I felt betrayed. It's funny to continue hearing about newer and newer Dragon Ball series'. I have absolutely no interest in them.

This is peak DBZ, everything about this entire fight is just perfect. The dialogue flows so perfectly, the music, the animation, everything. "These are your last minutes Boy, so try to make them count" "SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!" Chills.

This episode is easily in the top 5 episodes of the entire franchise for me. It's the culmination of Gohan's journey to achieving his potential, Goku passing the torch to Gohan as Earth's hero. Vegeta's character redemption arc and getting one last shot in on Cell at the 11th hour when it really mattered, and every other character in the Z Warriors contributing in their own small way to help Gohan, just as they did throughout the series. Truly amazing 👏

I love the Cell Saga, but the Majin Buu Saga is by far my Favorite! It is also the second longest Arc next to the Frieza Saga. Alot of new Stuff Happens in the Buu Saga. Which I dont want to say to not spoil it for his Girlfriend..
