@@geox8485 I mean to be honest Yamamuro’s work on the spar of Vegeta and Goku against Whis is pretty decent ngl. Compared to his designs or even artwork after Z it looked pretty defined with the sleeker eyes, defined shading with an actual light source emanating across Goku as he curls his fist, as well as the curvature above his eyebrows that really sells it. It’s really alike to that of Z sorta but yeah he’s improved quite a lot over these years, but still the abundant use of highlights and the odd colouring choices are still odd..

Ziel the first steps of evolution about his artstyle are visible in gt however due to it being pretty early his art was still quite solid in gt especially with the highlights he was using compared to the highlights he uses now going from strong colors with a rounder highlight to softer colors with highlights that are sharp

@@gulliblepiggy4346 well the thing with that theory is already debunked by the consideration that for the character designs themselves there is no real time limit compared to animation especially considering that this was the look he chose explicitly these weird sheets that were a nightmare to animate if he would‘ve kept his actual premise of „striking a balance between the old and the new“ he would‘ve sticked with the yo son goku character sheets since they slimmed down some base characters while still retaining what made them so dbz looking

Geekdom senpai! Agreed. I'd say Maeda was more suited for the rounder earlier style of Dragon Ball, while Yamamuro is better suited for the later sharper angular style :) So it's GREAT that we got to see them both do what they do best :)

Fate/Zero series releases about 20-25 episodes in a season. But dbs is a weekly show, they release an episode per week. So it's clearly quality over quantity here. And there's was factor of time constraint in the early days of dbs. The animation and art work is much much better than in the initial days of dbs. PS:I really miss this art style. But we have Yuya Takahashi now who's copying yammamuro's old style

TheSaiyan17 this was great, I wish it was a little faster at times but thats more a nitpick on my part. To bad his recent work has been so bad. Other animators that had great work on DBZ were Kazuya Hisada, his use of perspective were fantastic and he helped produce some of the most interesting moments in Z. Masihiro Shimanuki was also a good animator back in his hayday, his effects work was absolutely fantastic. Naotoshi Shida and Naoki Tate are probably the only noteable animators who really became amazing after their work on DB, DBZ and DBGT. Can someone properly/convincingly explain what happened to Yamamuros's drawing? How did his drawing took such a toll. I mean is it something mental since he's getting old, or is he a fraud -- maybe he was drawing over somebody else's model in the old days? I didn't find anything convincing in the internet to explain how could this man draw something like this, then draw some dull robotic characters in super's design, it doesn't make sence!!!

In what world? I come from Earth. It seems to me that you're just being a weaboo. Any and everyone who has heard both knows that the English sounds better in every way. I guess you think I'm crazy simply because defending dubs isn't exactly popular, but I stick by what I say. I have objectively judged both dubs, and regardless of whatever I grew up with, Goku in English sounds tough and light-hearted unlike his Japanese voice which sounds like an old lady, (ironic, because she is) Vegeta sounds like a ruthless arrogant badass, and other than those two most important, there are only a handful of the Japanese voices that sound amazing. The English tough guy act just fits DBZ more.

+Jason Skywalker just by keeping Goku's VA aside Japanese dub is superior in many ways to english dub. The voice is acting is awesome in Japanese.
