It’s Toei’s stupid-ass pride that caused them to make that decision. I understand that they’re Japanese and Japanese people have lots of pride on what they love to do, and that’s great, but honestly, there are times where they need to put their pride aside in order to make their fans completely satisfied and happy. Kirby Presley Not plagiarized. There's a band called Propaganda and they had music vastly similar to some of the beats that Kenji Yamamoto had at the time. It's rather homage, in honor of one of the greatest bands in the world combining it with DB was amazing. Battle point unlimited is one of my favorites in this series.
@OWmyDragonballz10 жыл бұрын
Kirby Presley Yamamoto didn't plagiarize anything in Z, only in Kai. Also, Yamamoto was actually layed off, not fired as said in one of the Japan newspapers.
@OWmyDragonballz10 жыл бұрын
Kirby Presley Well if you want to think of it as Plagiarism then fine, but I personally think it's homage. Besides, this is the only song in the entirety of Z that some people complain about. George Lucas's Star Wars opening song was based off of a 50's movie where the beginning part of the music sounds exactly like it yet people don't complain about that. Yamamoto mainly only went too far in Kai. Z's music was completely fine and it was awesome. It's not being "denial" to believe it's homage because it actually makes sense. I also find this video title ironic to our argument we are having now. This is a downgraded version of the actual Broadcast Audio that AnimeMaakuo owns and it sounds so much better in comparison to this one. Someone took website samples and placed it on KZbin all based on the original broadcast claiming it to be theirs, lol. People even go so far as to sell samples and send him death threats.

@jeremyknight99805 жыл бұрын
@Son Gohan Yeah, the murder of love, P machinery and the Chase are my favorites. Yes Faulconer loved using synth music. the reason why they had music constantly playing in the background was because back then American television wanted to hide the fact that anime were cartoons from japan and they asumed kids had very short attention spands. 4kids did the same thing when they dubbed anime.

man... I love the Faulconer soundtrack, but this is one of those rare situations where the original soundtrack far surpassed his work

No. Original is always better

@@marko_pasha Sorry man, but I have to respectfully disagree. From Pikkon's theme, to Vegeta's theme, to the Super Namekian theme, etc. etc. Faulconer's OST stomps the original. This is one of the only original tracks that surpasses Faulconer's work

Japan cooked with the soundtrack!

@@theemperorofmankind2It’s from the Hit Song Collections, the contemporary side of DBZ music. Yamamoto made other instrumentals like this one that were only made for the CD’s they were released in.

Holy shit, I've known this music track for years just from looking up the Japanese OST, but I never realized they used it in this scene or that they changed the music. This is SO much better than Kai or the "normal" Japanese music. Honestly this is right up there with Faulconer, both so much more fitting for the mood imo than that 60s marching band stuff you hear all the time now.
@Neo-Midgar Жыл бұрын
They didn't change it, what happened is Toei threw out their audio master tapes so what you hear today on home releases or streaming services isn't what it actually sounded like, it's a vastly degraded copy. This is audio taken from preserved VHS tapes from when the show originally aired in Japan, hence "original broadcast audio".

The regular music is 60's-70's style, it was mainly just with insert themes and other songs that they went contemporary (and the Faulconer Productions material, while coming long after, doesn't compare to _any_ of that tbh since they weren't done with a cheap synthesizer & MIDI setup).

why the hell TOEI tossed the stereo tracks?!
@KayWhyEll9 жыл бұрын
Z wasn't recorded in Stereo, it was always in Mono, it's just that the original masters have deteriorated. After the first, like, 6 episodes of GT, they started recording episodes in Stereo.
@nemu-chan-uwu9 жыл бұрын
Z3withthefaceguy Uh, regardless of not being in stereo, they still threw away the original masters and ever since used the optical copies of the masters for the audio. So it's not an issue of deterioration at all, they really did throw them away.

So Yamamoto composed this? I didn't realise he worked on original Z, I thought that was all Kikuchi?

Kikuchi did all the regular music. The insert songs were composed by different people.
