Yinka another great experience eating with you. I know for you it wouldn't be necessary but if you wanted to can you take your leftovers out of the restaurant there? As a vegetarian glad to hear the vegetables were one of the shining stars!❤❤❤
@YinkaAbroad4 ай бұрын
Yeah you can take your leftovers, they have bags and containers for you to do so, I just think they like to make sure that nothing gets wasted, and that people don’t over order. And yeah, I’m actually happy about that too! 🤣 now I need to learn how to make it while reducing the amount of oil in it 😬🙏

This festival, it's actually a time when all family members will gather and have a meal together.. I'm Indonesian Chinese, we also celebrate this festival.. Actually there are 5 kinds of these festival: 1. a night before Lunar New Year 2. on the 15th day of Lunar New Year 3. on the 5th month of Lunar Calendar, also known as Dragon Boat Festival where we all eat a Bak Cang (this is how we pronounce it here), a triangular pyramid shape sticky rice with meat, mushrooms, peanut, and salty egg yolk; 4. on the 8th month of Lunar Calendar also known as Moon Cake Festival, we eat a moon cake, obviously. 5. on the 21st / 22nd December also known as Winter Festival where we eat a glutinous rice ball that's colored with red and white.

How hard was it to learn to speak Chinese so well? How many years did it take?
@Aevilbeast4 ай бұрын
Man, those kids aren't the only ones impressed that you were able to finish all of that...I admit I was a bit worried that your eyes were a just bigger than your stomach, but I was definitely proven wrong. That was a serious amount of food too, I could see two maybe even three people happily sharing that same amount. Maybe you should try a food challenge one day? I'd love to see how you would do! Also, while I can imagine it can be a bit annoying or frustrating at times...I honestly think it's admirable that in China a lot of restaurants will either warn or even refuse to serve you more food than they think you can eat, to ensure food doesn't get wasted. I've seen it quite a few times in a bunch of food/travel videos in China, and at first it really surprised and confused me, but it makes a ton of sense and anything that can prevent food wastage is good in my books. Especially since in so many restaurants don't care how much food you order, and couldn't care less if it's eaten or not, as long as they get paid and are making money. Keep up the great work and I look forward to more videos!
