That was like one of the few times he was shown to be negative about seeing Twilight compared to all of the many notable moments he has shown to be concerned for Twilight and being grateful to have her as his caretaker. And even for that one moment you mentioned, he was obviously tired so it would make sense he’d be a little crabby. Who wouldn’t be after being woken up that early?🤷‍♂️

At your request, I’ve long listened to this song on your SoundCloud and I ain’t joking: this song could have made me tear up. It’s truly such a beautiful melodic tune that tugs on your heart with all the adorable history between Hitch and Sparky. Ever since Hitch saved Sparky on that day on the beach and Sparky giving back the same favour, freeing him from Opaline’s wickedness and choosing Hitch over the dragons. ✨ Their relationship is seriously under-appreciated in the show and this song has just become my favourite one from you, Maka! Too emotionally investable to not stop listening too and seeing this new animation to go along with it as only made my floodgates open. 😭💕

I'd venture to say that Hitch is more of a father to Sparky than Twilight was to Spike. Hitch refers to Sparky as his son and more importantly refers to himself as his father. Twilight and Spike, instead, almost always act like they're childhood friends or as sibling.

Poor Hitch. It must be really hard being the male figure among his group of friends, kind of alienated and not having anyone to share studly stuff with. Spike in G4 at least shared with Big Mac and Discord. I always had a headcanon that Hitch had an older brother, a cool surfer who worked as a lifeguard and who he doesn't get along with. They also didn't do much when they met Discord and patched things up with him. I was hoping that he Dracoequs would move in with the Sheriff because he reminded him of Fluttershy and having him as an awkward roommate. Hitch needs more love.

Hey, for two whole minutes he managed not to lose the little goblin (slow claps) Apparently people in the comments forgot how many times he lost this kid in both MYM and TYT. It's a reoccurring gag that Hitch loses Sparky and shenanigans and magic farts happen. To be fair, I stopped counting after 5th or 6th time, so I don't know how many times either. Hitch is worse a father than Filthy Rich. At least he never lost Diamond Tiara.
