"Dragon" |-Dinosaur Speedpaint-| Medibang Paint Pro [#61]

This speedpaint was filmed back near the end of January but I'm only getting around to uploading it now. ;;
I really want to draw more and have so many ideas that could be turned into videos but I'm extremely busy currently. Hopefully I can sneak in some drawing time among the chaos!
January was all about prehistoric creatures for me, so I decided to draw one of my favorite dinos, YiQi. I've always loved dragons (as you all are probably aware of), so it's amazing to thing that a true "wyvern" used to exist!
This being an Asian dinosaur also gave me an excuse to draw the fun ropes and bells that I love. Shading the gold pieces was an interesting challenge, and while I'm not entirely happy with it I think I did alright. ^^
I hope you all like this piece, hopefully I'll be able to sneak in the time to make some more artwork and put out more videos for you guys!

Love the art and absolutely love the shading! Odd question though, but how is it that you get your lineart so fine, even during the shading faze? I struggle on medibang to do such thinness, even with a small brush. It might just be me though/my drawing pad.

Time and lots of practice! Getting thin lines to look smooth used to be a huge struggle for me, and clean cel shading felt impossible. If you go way back to my older videos you'll find me drawing with much thicker lines and blending my shading because of this. The drawing tablet I use now is still the exact same tablet that I used back then! Sometimes it can help to do several careful, short strokes for a line. It may help you feel like you have more control over your lines.

That's a hard one! I've always enjoyed drawing since I was very young, but I probably started to take it more seriously around 7-8 years ago.(?) I feel like I only started liking my artwork a couple years ago, though. ^^
