Designed by Angus Trim, the A.P.O.C. Tactical Wasteland Gladius fuses the classic design of the gladius with modern materials and craftsmanship for maximum durability and practicality. An ideal fighting blade for close quarters combat or for tighter interior spaces, the Wasteland Gladius has ample amounts of cutting, chopping and piercing power.
The blade is tempered 9260 high carbon steel and a rust-resistant black-oxide coated blade. The leaf blade design brings great slicing and separating power to cuts and it also serves to ensure that even a shallow puncture into a target is widened substantially.

😏 I actually just got the gladias/Roman type sword from APOC. It chops through wood like an axe with some effort. I think it will make a good undead head chopper.

I had one before Kult of Athena started carrying them if you want GET THE SHARPENING SERVICE, the factory edge I had was a damn butter knife edge. but the quality of steel was really great the edge ruined it though for me at the time

Fantastic. A longer than typical leaf blade. After I receive it I may try to shift the POB a little farther out, with some drilling of lightening holes under the handle, so it favors chops/ hacks over slices/ cuts, while still having the option of stabs/ thrusts.

Nice sword. Thrusts like butter. My edge was not usable. After a lot of work, and still a second side to go, i got a usable edge on one side. This blade would not cut through cloth without sawing through it. I like it but if you dont want to spend time putting an edge on it, buyer beware

That is what all beginners do, they have seen a movie and want to be just as cool. No real fencer would ever do that to his sword. Please stop doing this on internet, I have stopped many customours that was just to do the same thing to my swords. It is just STUPID.

It’s not designed from a Gladius tho, this a refurbished design, originally this was Angus trims leaf shaped bastard sword.

Yes they were primarily a thrusting sword. But I do believe they were not exclusively used for thrusting.

I have it and love it, though i disagree with it being named a gladius. Its far more similar to a Celtic style from the bronze age. The closest shape you'd find to that in a gladius is the mainz pattern, but it has a very broad blade, much wider than this, and of course far shorter. It should just be called Tactical Leaf blade lol.

5.9mm thick from the ricasso to the center of the blade belly. From the center of the blade belly to the tip, there is a distil taper.
