Welcome to my Dragon Quest Builders Gameplay series or simply Let's Play Dragon Quest Builders! It's like Dragon Quest Minecraft! I'm going to be going through the demo of the game to get a feel for what to expect and share the experience I have with you guys. The game takes place in the land of Alefgard where people have forgotten how to build and it's my job to teach them and rebuild the kingdom!

I wished that I knew when I played and beat the game a few times that I can also use clay as walls and the cladding will still work with them... also after so long. I just learned what the Naughty Night Lamp does, but it doesn't work in bedrooms, only in other rooms where the residents work at.

Zueljin you know you don't need to exit the game if you want to get back to the menu. You can go on Misc. then "Exit game" that will send you back to the menu. (If you want to go back and forth in Terra Incognitia). As with monster spawns. Mainly focus on the West and East that is where the main hordes come from.

Zueljin will you be trying to do diferent build styles like you were are doing in MC every each chapter ? You could make a castle with a dropping bridge over a 2x2 hole around your walls. That would protect you and your city from attacks from all sides because those mobs would be stucked down there . Maybe make some spikes or some traps for it as well :3

Diego, unfortunately different chapters have different ways for defence. As for this one. Castle walls and traps aren't accessible with this chapter.

Well I dont mean castle walls as item . I literally mean some walls and hole in front of it so mobs would fall into it . Maybe reinforce it a bit down there so they couldnt dig under your base .. even that would help him to deffend nicely .. and he could have bridges over that hole on all 4 sides. 1 block wide bridges. I dont know is the AI pathing is that good so they will always go for the best way or if they will just fall down . But its worth try no ?

The biggest problem with this chapter is you don't really get access to materials with a good strength to defend during the early phase. You have to rely on Manual weapons and your citizens to defend. The AI will only dig under your base if you have a hole and they can't pathfind up it. However, if a block is 3 blocks apart. If they can find another way to get to it (breaking blocks) which is faster they will do it.

Zu the name of the herbalist is Gerontius not Geronimo (i understand you use Geronimo, because it's easier to say) and the name is probably pointing at him being so old as the word Geront in latin means an "Old Person" :D

So just a thought, not sure how you'll build the town later, but if you're doing another wall around it like last time then wouldn't you need to flip your one room around so the door isn't blocked off?

The only building required to be inside the lighted area are those requested by the towns people and for leveling the town.

I wasn't talking about requirements of being inside the town. He built a wall around Cantlin. If he builds a wall again, the "sick room" entrance will be blocked.

Yes I understand that what I am saying is that he can build the wall outside of the mandated town area and it will work.

It has two entrances. The second one wont be blocked even if he build a wall, but yes, he should have made the door pointing inside. But as the sick room is already made, i suppose if he just puts the door on the other side, the game would still consider it as a sick room.

It's not even on Xbox. Only on PS4 and PS Vita. I have PS4, but i would prefer it for PC. It's possible they will make it for PC, because they have made Dragon Quest Heroes on PC as well. But who knows, it only selled over 30k and that's a very low number for them to consider to make the DQH2 or/and the DQB for PC.

Unfortunately, sony bought the rights to have this as an exclusive. Gives me a reason to use my Vita.

***** Sony still makes computers right? That gives them a reason to release on PC. Plus there are tons of people who will not go buy a PS4 or Vita just for this game so they will miss out on a lot of revenue. They would make a killing if they put this on Steam.

Joseph Colburn it creates water when place in a hole

The Water Crystal adds water to nearby blocks that are at ground level. They are mainly used for building requirements.
