Rules :
- All exp gained are from mandatory battle(Boss, Forced battle, Sidequest)
- Pep Power is forbidden, except for sidequest and item gathering.
- Draconian setting is on with stronger enemy and reduce exp
- Hero can't die/knock out even once in battle, and he can't be switched by other people ( I mean why square let it ?) [BROKEN]
- Seed is fair game until i found out how to farm it. i don't know how to farm\abuse seed so i feel like its still fair game.
- i will do all the sidequest and post game instead only mandatory battle
- for riddable monster, all party get exp except hero
so sad that i lost lot of act 3 boss battle video, long story short, party level is around 48-52. not really the lowest level possible. because back then i didn't know what equipment that i need for this battle. i think after defeating calasmos at this level, my theory is that the lowest level you can reach is around 40 - 42 for hero. and the rest is around 45-47. hey atleast this is done without using any bullsht shenanigan like mighty magic burst and yggdragon blessing!.
the mandatory battle for this challenge become :
- blind hatred
- Unfathomable Anger
- tweedledom mission for sylvando ladies first
- all of monster rider in durstan trials and battle ground(for life bracer?)
- all cobblestone rebuilt (?)
ok first the lineup.
- hendrik for both phyisical defense buff and and his defense debuff (Basically veronica but useful and tanky)
- sylvando for offense buff and ladies first
- serena for physical defense buff and item bot
- hero for attacking and sword of light.
equipment, the most important thing is to have are party with 400+ agility so we can act in the first turn except for the hero. we can reach that by equip 2 meteorite bracer +3. basically you need to setup the party to have +2 defense buff and +1 magic defense buff. and let the boss attack ! after that use sword of light and hero heal the party. oh yeah make sure you unequip meteorite bracer and use better accesories(Catholicon ring? or element resistant or life bracer like me).
after that just keep +2 defense buff and give oomphle to your physical damage(hero), heal and keep the party at full health, let hero do the attacking(keep in mind that hero in this run is given +7 strength seed and +7 hp seed, probably there is better party member for attacking). in the first phase(before calasmos mask broken). he use disruptive wave a lot. that's why this video is really long. and his most dangerous attack probably his ailment . if our party get cursed. it means playing on stronger super shypox. so you need lot of yggdrasil dew distributed to your all party. my rule of thumb of party item are probably having 4 yggdrasil leaf, 3 pep pop, 2 elfin elixir, and the rest is yggdrasil dew.
the rest is shown on video. the second phase is not really hard. and his disruptive wave is gone in second phase! (probably). this battle require luck tho. because with just unlucky ailment. it can easily give you game over. he create massive glant fireball. i didn't know if fire resistant accesories decrease it damage or not. but you need to defend from that. if party member can't defend it. adios. restart the battle.
so that's it. luminary legend, stupid, defeat dark one without using yggdragon blessing and mighty magic burst, because he is to stupid to use that.
