Okay, I am someone who loves chiptune and 8-bit music. I love every Pokémon theme from every Pokémon game. I can hardly come across an 8-bit theme where I need to say "this is awful, what were they thinking?!" But unfortunately, this is one of those songs. Give me any other Pokémon theme from any other Pokémon game from RBGY all the way to Sun and Moon, and I'll gladly listen for hours with the exception of this. This song is completely terrible. Not ONCE have I ever said that about the gorgeous music of Pokémon, let alone the music of my second favorite generation of all time, but I cannot listen to this song without getting a headache. It's so bad! And it's not the pitches that bother me, it's just how poorly composed it sounds. I know how hard it is to make music, especially 8-bit, believe me I've tried it before, but even I could have done better than this. Guys, keep in mind there is a difference between nostalgic music and good music. Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood's Central City theme (Search it) is complete shit, but I like it because it brings back nostalgia. Anyway, getting back to the point, this theme is garbage. I'm SO glad they made it beautiful in HG/SS because it kind of ruined Dragon's Den for me...
