Dude, thank you so much for putting the soundtrack up for these games. Pokemon was my childhood, and it makes me want to cry when I hear these songs. Unfortunately, the internal battery ran out on my gold, silver, and crystal version, so I cant save my data anymore.

replacing the batteries on my gameboy carts is my only use my soldering iron has lol and its like a cheapo hot stick soldering iron and i just melt the existing solder and put a new battery in its place with some new solder. but swapping out the battery will delete your save so make sure you got a gameboy cart reader for backing up your saves

It's crazy how so many games in this error soundtrack fits each other. If you put this song as a dungeon track for any of the GameBoy Legend of Zelda games I wouldn't have noticed.

Why not replace it? Soldering irons are cheap, the batteries are cheap, solder is cheap, and the bit to open the carts are cheap. Maintaining your cart is cheaper than buying a new one..

Sheesh 8 years later and still no answer. In that case you unscrew the screw on the back of the cartridge. Buy a c4 2024 battery or c4 2032 then remove the metal plates on the old battery. Whatever you do don't scratch the circuits or rip the metal plates just make it so the tips are off the battery then put the new battery in its place where the plates are touching it then put the cartridge back together. Then you're done.
