IMPORTANT: Some people with female characters have experienced issues with getting the tome from the inn-keeper, but were successful in getting a tome from a male elf NPC that they gifted instead. I am not sure which male NPC (or if it matters) but I will update this comment with more info if / when I get it.

It works with Female Characters it just took alot more gifts 4 flower bunches 4 Dried flowers and a couple of Random gifts

Well, no,you can got to the elven village regardless. You don't even need to understand elvish, since the options for the vendors are the same as every other. You can easily guess what options to pick to buy, sell and enhance, etc.

You need to give the Inn Keeper 3 bunches of flowers but the key is split them up over 3 days. So 1 bunch per day. Give 1 bunch then sit on the bench outside the Inn there for a day then give her No.2 bunch and sit on the bench for another day then give her the final bunch and she'll give you the tombe for your main pawn.

rook, the first pawn you have that the brine gets, knows elvish. you can resummon pawns you have previously summoned.

Better way is to give 2 flowers to one of the archers just outside the inn. better than maybe getting the scroll from the inn keeper. wasted 10+ flowers on the innkeeper and got nothing.

I did this without a guide, since my Pawns talked about befriending Elves, warming their hearts and they'd surely try and communicate with us. However it took me way too many flower bouquets, around 8+ I think. Probably bugged, idk because now I have a bunch of Elves running around, blushing whenever I pass by

You need to split up giving the 3 bunches of flowers over 3 different days. Day 1 give one bunch., then go sit at the bench thats at the Inn entrance there for a day, then give her the 2nd bunch and go sit on the bench for another day and give her the final 3rd bunch of flowers.

Bottom left of screen you can see the button prompt. It should be square if ur on PlayStation or x on xbox. It’s not an actual talking point you choose

I don't understand why, she's blushing and I have her affinity maxed as I can change her outfit in the npc listing. The enhancements they do to your gear is unique to that location, just like the other two main cities. I believe it increasing magick stat higher then the other cities.

Is this Quest Time sensitive? Or can you come back at level 30? Asking because I haven't started yet. Also should I start with Archer first?

Good question. My thought is that it is. It should say next to the quest in the journal (it will have an hourglass icon next to the quest). You can also revert / load the game from the last long rest at an inn to go further back (if you just wanted to check whether or not it is time-sensitive). Hope this helps.

Keep in mind that even if it is time sensitive, the clock only starts counting down once the quest has been started.

I think some tome acquisitions in this game are bugged. I got this one easily enough, but never got logistician or the healing one you start in Melve with the little girl, despite doing their quests and talking to them countless times afterward.

@@Dxwill10 i just finished house of the blue sunbright quest given from the lady at the top of the hill the entrance area to the slums, give sebastian a detox potion, waking powder, and a rugged bone from a cyclops for his journey after a day or two he'll be home finish the quest then rest and go down to find daphne will give the forager tome. still got nothing from kendrick though sadly, just new dialogue. the way i got the medic tome i bought the item gave it to her then when i got to valmund i met her father after meeting her then while running around she stopped me and gave me the tome. i cant find anymore quests for kendrick so ig that one is bugged... might try killing and reviving him at ther cemetary to see if that changes anything.

If you are playing as a female this might happen. Try gifting flowers to a male elf npc in the same area and see if they give you the tome. Hope this helps.

My question is this...im about level 22 and ive still yet to do the main quests in Venworth - The Caged Magistrate and Disa's plot. They are waiting to be done. Ive just changed to Archer and i see that Elf guy waiting to be talked to. What do you recommend brother? Do them 2 main quests then talk to the elf and start his quest or doesnt it matter which? Im sure i have a party member that understands elvish too but i could be wrong. I love this game man. Hey Daz, feel free to do the elvish quest first. Should be easy enough at level 20+ and you can always go do the main quests later on. Still wish they didn't add mtx to the game.. but I am having fun anyways. Hope this helps, and cheers!

If your main character is female then try doing the same with a male elf NPC. I've seen a few comments from people saying that worked. Of course, I am not able to test this seeing that I am limited to one character and they are male.

Hmm, I'm assuming you rested overnight at the inn for 3000 gold? I did that after gifting a few Bunch of Flowers and also several moonglow flowers. After resting, I spoke to the inn keeper again and gifted one more item. She then started a dialogue with me and gave the tome. This was also after doing everything else shown in the guide. It could have to do with main story progression, I was near the end of initial tasks given by Brant when I did this questline. I also have the Sorcerer and Warrior Vocations. Sorry it is not much to go on, I will let you know if I figure anything else out. Hope this helps.
